You're in almost every Sen thread. This is a Sen thread.
- Asquaredx2

It's a Sens thread in the Sens Forum, and yes he's in ALL of them, because since the two Ontario teams have been playing in the same Division (12 seasons), the Senators have finished higher in the Standing (Division and Conference) than his leafs Eight times, and have accumulated roughly 45 to 50 more (total) wins.

So he obviously sees the Sens as the leafs biggest rival in the Division, and so do many Senators fans.

Yes the leafs have the edge in playoff match ups, but neither team has won the Cup, but Ottawa has won the Division four times, the Conference once, and made it to the Finals once, and have won the Presidents Trophy............while the leafs have one Division Championship in the twelve years (since the two Ontario teams have been playing in the same Division) and have made the playoffs more times than the leafs.

So clearly the Senators have been the better team in Ontario for the past twelve seasons, and this just eats away at him, to the point where he lashes out in ALL the Senators threads on this site, and I suspect others.

I don't have a problem with him for the most part, but when he starts to insult other posters and call them name ect. When he does that, I just respond in kind, and let him have his own medicine back. But it's going to be a long time before the leafs can actually be pointed to as the better team in Ontario, and he knows that, so he has to take every opportunity to show otherwise, thinking that we'll be convinced he's onto something.

But until they finish higher in the standings (than the Senators more times), and surpass the Senators number of Divisional Championships, Conference Championships, Presidents Trophys or by wining the Stanley Cup............all accomplishments officially recognized by the NHL(trophy, Banner, record books) and fans of all teams of the NHL, the leaf will be seen as the lesser of the two Ontario teams.

How many times have the Sens gone further in the playoffs.

And you're quite clearly trolling leafs fans with this thread. Stop being a moron.

Can somebody with database access just copy the first 16 pages of this thread and paste it right back in? We're clearly just creating a Möbius thread here...

oh, I'm sorry, but I know it hurts to read these facts that prove that overall, the Senators have been the better team in Ontario for the past 12 seasons. By how much? well you can measure by head to head playoff matchups when neither team went on to win anything of consequence.

Or you can measure how your beloved NHL stats do, Wins, Division titles, Conference Titles, Stanley Cup Finalists and we can throw in the Presidents trophy or not.

If presenting these facts from the NHL stats data base and records is trolling, then you have a huge problem with reality................and if throwing out insults makes you feel better, continue to do so, but it will NOT change these FACTS in the NHL's record keeping and Stats books.

I LOVE that you're trying to thrown regular season stats at me.

Personally, I remember these games more than any regular season game between the two teams....

Are you honestly telling me you prefer the regular season games?

Preliminary round eliminations in the playoffs mean nothing to anyone except the winning team and their fans. WHoopppee. The NHL does not care, so why should anyone else.

Divisional titles, Conference titles and Stanley Cup finalists are all recognized as a recordable accomplishments by the NHL.

More to the point the last twelve seasons, when the two teams were united in the same division, when the leafs left the Western Conference and played an equal number of games against the same teams, within the same Conference.

Yeah, one of the worst periods the Leafs have seen in decades. And it's not like the Sens really fared all that well either. They took the biggest tank job in NHL history, with FIVE top 3 draft picks in a row, and did zero with it. The 10 years prior to that, the Leafs were FAR more successful. And when both teams were pretty good, the Leafs consistently kicked the crap out of the Sens.... in the playoffs.... when it counts.

Look, don't get too bothered by the fact that the Leafs repeatedly bounced the Sens from the playoffs.

they were still overall better. head to head maybe not, but their record (haven't done the numbers so this is an assumption) in both reg season and playoffs is better than the leafs over the last 12 years.

After last nights lackadaisical effort from the Senators, and tonight facing a team that has been resting for a couple of days now, the Senators are ripe for the picking. I sense lack of confidence in themselves, and perhaps the pressure of being in a position that no one thought they'd be at this time of the season.

I also look back and see the Capitals as the only team currently sitting outside of the playoff picture, with FOUR games in hand (on the Senators), as the real threat in the Conference, to bump out one of the teams currently sitting in the bottom four playoff spots, with Ottawa being the most vulnerable of the four having played the most games of the bottom four.

I also see the Panthers with FOUR games in hand (on the Senators) equally as threat as well, if Washington regains the Division lead and thereby bumping the Panthers down the Conference standings.

Really, everything points to a Leafs win tonight, and the Sens could very easily be out of the top 8 before long - I do think they'll pick up the pace again, but the playoffs are in no way a promise...

Looking beyond the repetitious an inane arguments here between some Leafs fans and some Sens fans, I'm really looking forward to Toronto's return to the playoffs. It's going to be exciting, no denying! Either this year or next, I think we'll be seeing it...

Looked like the leafs played a simple basic game last night, and the Sens mailed in another snoozer.

BTW did you notice that good Ole Bob Cole was calling Filup Kuba "Kubina" for the first two periods............and then I guess someone jolted his memory, and that Kubina used to play for the leafs a number of seasons ago, and the team in white, and the City he's calling the game in is NOT Tampa Bay, and then finally in the third period he was calling him by the correct name...................but was constantly calling Karlsson "Gonchar" for a while in the third.

Just a question...........why were the Sens in their "Away" jerseys last night???

In any case I see the Capitals (3pts back)/Panthers(2pts back) and BOTH with 4 games in hand as the team(s) that Ottawa has to be focused on more than any other.

Ottawa has 2 games left vs the Panthers and 1 vs Capitals.

Also both these teams have 3 games in hand on the leafs, so they too are not out of the woods either. leafs have 2 games each against both teams, left.

it was as simple as the leafs best players came to play and the sens didn't. alfie, spezza michalek and karlsson were almost invisible out there. kessel, lupul, phaneuf, grabovski were all over the place.

Yeah, you're right. Don't know what I was looking at. They only have one game in hand of the leafs. Perhaps I was looking at the pts diff. between leafs and Caps/Panthers, instead of GP.

The GP diff is biggest problem for Ottawa's faint playoff hopes.

But I do notice that Washington has a big lead in Reg Wins/ OT wins, which could be a factor if they have to go to them in a tie breaker, between either Ontario team.

He's still a hell of a lot further and done more than Hodgson at the same point in his career....

It's laughable that you guys suddenly think Hodgson is going to win the Calder.

you keep telling yourself that...so you're saying that Kadri has been to the finals and gotten the experience of doing that? You're actually suggesting that Kadri will be called up if the Leafs make the playoffs and the Leafs are going to make it to the finals? I have never heard once that people think he'll actually win the Calder but he is FAR closer than Kadri was in his rookie year...you seem to forget about Hodgsons injuries....cry more lil one...

Nugent-Hopkins left Monday's game against Toronto after aggravating a shoulder injury and did not return, according to the Edmonton Oilers' Twitter Feed...Also...This news up's chances of Hodgson getting the Calder...(lets see you twist this wording into your own liking like always)
