Maybe a chicken or two, but you could use traps for that.

As far as wolves, I lived on a farm for 14 years, and not once did a wolve come close to our cows.

Never had a coyote attack a calf, not saying it couldn't happen. but 'yotes are chicken poop little animals, and you could find something else to deter a yote without a gun.

Wolves can eb aproblem but for the most part they will stay away from a farm.

They may attack cows when they are in pasture away from the home quarter, but that the farmer could still build a better fence around the pasture, or add an electrified one. But that is alot mor expensive then just buying a gun.

Even if the farmer had a gun, they would only go after the wolve after it has attacked your cattle.
