Seems like that's every night lately. I think we should hold an intervention. He's angry and drunk and his bong is dirty. That's no way to live.

in any garth blog you can find 20+ mistakes, no matter how short or long it is. call it nitpicking all you want, this is just pathetic. don't know how ek promotes it, oh yeah probably because he lied about having a journalism degree too.

My opening night buzz was killed when the Rangers handed the Sabres a 6-3 loss in front of 16,890 inside HSBC Arena on Saturday night.

first mistake, attendance is wrong.

Marty Biron quickly lifted my mood when I happened up to his locker stall after the game.

anyone know how to "happen up to a locker stall"?

Because he’s in the visitor’s room now, time is off the essence after games.

visitors

Now, it’s a fast-paced convo, all the while, Marty is stuffing his gear in his bag and packing away his helmet.

improper usage of commas and/or random usage of all the while

. We talk hockey, then the conversation goes to other places, Marty has four kids and has a life outside of hockey.

This isn't a sentence..

..unlike last season when Marty left for The Island, and his pregnant wife and three children stayed behind in Clarence.

yeah, the island isn't capitalized..

Marty and I exchanged Hellos

.......seriously?
Roy Halladay’s now legendary no-hitter that he had twirled last week.

not sure i've ever seen a pitcher twirling, but whatever

Biron loves all sports, however, he has a serious jones for his Phillies. I’m guilty of chirping Marty after the Yankees beat the Phillies in the 2009 World Series.

not exactly grammatically incorrect, just horribly written.

Lets just wait

missed apostrophe

“The Playoffs have been great!

no end quote

“I’ve never met him. He wasn’t there when I was there. I’ve met Chase (Utley), (Ryan) Howard, (Shane) Victorino and those guys when I was there”.

period goes before end quote, not after..

According to the veteran net minder,

hyphenation b/t net and minder..

nothing can compare to the overall experience of watching a Phillies game live I and in person.

I?!?!!? what about i. that doesn't fit.

“That ballpark in Philly is such a great ballpark. Its great to watch a game and its great to be there. The one year, when they played Tampa in the world series, the one game was scheduled to start at 8.… it didn’t start til 10:30. We (the Flyers) moved our game to the afternoon and then we walked over to the ballpark at 7 o’clock cuz we thought the game was starting at 8. So, we just hung out there. It was such a great place to be, to be with all of the fans. It was great to be there”.

again, period before quote..

Marty read me Friday blog and quizzed me about the Roger waters concert inside HSBC Arena on Friday night.

lets see. "marty read me friday blog" and failure to capitalize Waters..

...bunch of the guys went",he asked.

Again, wrong.......

“It was alright, lots of old farts liking me rocking out, trying to recapture our youth. you still have your youth, so its not for you”, I quipped. ‘Nothing you’d be interested in, right I asked.

..and again..

“There are a bunch of Pink Floyd songs that I would like to hear him play live in concrert”, he answered

..and again..also, don't forget the missed period after answered

“Like “Comfortably Numb?“, I asked.

well, good try i guess.

“Yeah”.

this is getting pathetic..

I added, ‘maybe a Yankees/Phillies World Series game is in your near future plans?”

and the beat goes on....

Lidstrom Sucks! (For all those Souray Bashers)
Posted April 15, 2007

That's right... Lidstrom sucks defensively! If anyone else is currently watching the Flames-Wings game, you just saw Primeau skate around Lidstrom with ease to set up a highlight reel play, only to be stoned by Hasek...

Now we all know that Lidstrom is one of, if not the best defenceman in the league, but the point of this is to point out that every defenceman ends up on the wrong end of a highlight reel play every so often. Had that been Souray instead of Lidstrom, we'd have pages about how much Souray sucks. Sure Souray may not be the best defensively, but his +/- this year had everything to do with the Habs not scoring 5 on 5, and now poor play defensively.

The Canadiens only scored 136 even strength goals, while giving up 176 even strength goals, for a team total of -40.

The you have a team like Atlanta, who scored the same amount of goals as the Habs, and only gave up 10 less goals than the Canadiens...

Atlanta scored 163 goals at even strength and gave up 152 at even strength, for a team total of +11.

Lets say that the Habs had the same goals for/against, but their powerplay goals for/against were what Atlanta had...

The Habs would have been at 163 even strength goals for, and 162 even strength goals against, for a team total of +1.

Makes a big difference don't you think?? It's amazing how Souray constantly gets criticized for his poor defence, but the reality is that the Canadiens as a team just could not score 5 on 5, and so they relied on their special teams. Souray was our leader on the powerplay, and was also one of out PK leaders out there. Without Souray, we do not have the #1 powerplay, and our PK is much worse off. So think about those things before bashing Souray!

Berger, you make me sick. I cannot fathom how any legitimate media organization would allow you to publish stories another human on this planet was capable of reading. Whoever taught you to spell words should be shot and pissed on.

PS, yah, you can be penalized for intent, its called intent to injure. You don't know a goddamn thing about hockey, you would've been eaten alive in a peewee house league dressing room you squirrly looking shmelt. NEVER write anything else again, ever, just quit.

ATTENTION: Eklund's season ticket is a scam. I signed up for a one month trial, just to look at the rumor chart for the upcoming UFAs. Thinking my ticket would be up after one month, I was surprised to find that I am still being charged everyone month. I've deleted my PayPal account, but somehow hockeybuzz is still getting my money. I've tried many times to get in contact with Eklund or anyone at hockeybuzz, but my emails have never been returned. So please whatever you do, don't buy the season ticket. Its a waste of money!!! Ban me or whatever you want Eklund, just stop taking my money for your stupid scam! I'm done reading this bs site and I hope others are too.

OK......look.........I like Ruff for the most part. I do think he is a decent coach, but the lines he puts together make NO SENSE and he often times uses guys in the wrong way.

I know I am not a hockey coach and I know Ruff knows a lot more about hockey than I do, BUT one of the main reasons they are not scoring is because he is using guys in situations and on lines that do not maximize the player's talents! It is pretty obvious to all of us that this team is lacking in talent to begin with and to stick guys like Ennis and Gerbe (offensive, skilled players) with average to below average hockey players drags them down as well and you won't get the most out of them! USE PLAYER'S TALENTS TO MAXIMIZE WHAT YOU DO HAVE!!!!!

Roy has played his best hockey when he has been with Ennis. Ennis has played his best hockey when he has been with Roy. Vanek is best with Roy as his Center. PUT IT TOGETHER AND LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!

Gerbe is an offensive player......He needs to play with other offensive players to get the most out of him. Connolly, as of now is your 2nd best Center......Hecht has proven he is best when he is a 2-way player and not being relied on for offense. So, get Hecht off the second line! Right now, Pommer is out, so Stafford is the only guy that really fits in here. Gerbe with Connolly and Stafford........PUT IT TOGETHER AND LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

The bottom 2 lines are pretty interchangeable in terms of players. Many offer the same type of talents, so it doesn't matter a whole lot. In this case, I want my 3rd line to be the clam and steady defensive line. Hecht is a decent 2-way player.....Neids and Grier are both sound defensively as well. If I need a line to calm things down and just keep things steady, this is the line I put out there. Hecht, Neids, Grier......PUT IT TOGETHER AND LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

Your 4th line in the energy line........the line that gets things going when needed. Well, McMuscle, Gaustad, and Kaleta are perfect for this. They have a defined role so PUT IT TOGETHER AND LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

So, my lines, for now (until Pommer is healthy) would be read like this:

26-9-63
42-19-21
55-20-25
8-28-36

As I mentioned, this team lacks talent to begin with. But the line they have been experimenting with are just crazy and take away from the skills that each player brings to the table. I realize that sometimes things just don't go well and sometimes lines or players have a rough go of it, but to change lines just about every period, sometimes twice, is just crazy. PUT LINES TOGETHER THAT MAXIMIZE EACH PLAYER'S TALENTS AND LEAVE THEM ALONE. It may take a while for them to gel. There may be some growing pains. But you have to be patient (multiple games together) before making any changes. If you go multiple games with the same lines and you need to tweak things, fine......JUST DON'T OVER-DO IT.......If you want to drop Stafford out when Pommer gets back, fine......Just don't take your offensive, skill guys and waste them with defensive players. Not only are you hurting the offensive player playing him with defensive guys, but you are hurting your defensive guys by playing them with a guy that really isn't a good defensive player to begin with and a guys that is trying to score. You hurt everyone when you try to fit a square peg in a round hole. Offensive, creative guys need to play with other offensive, creative guys. Defensive guys should play with other defensive guys and your energy line should have a defined role.......go out and hit and create energy.

The lines I created above will do what I have said. If you want to swap a couple of offensive guys, fine.....But keep offensive guys with offensive guys. If you want to swap a couple of guys on the bottom 2 lines for some reason......fine.....But don't over think it.
