The Leafs Swedish trio seem to be very exciting puck moving defensive prospects, along with Dermott and Neilson, it's no wonder the Leafs have a better ranked prospect pool.

Borgman recently won rookie of the year in the SHL, and put up 10 points in 14 games in the playoffs, playing against men.

Does anybody remember when Sens fans thought Colin White's college numbers were more impressive than Nylander's SHL performance?

Sens have 4 prospect D that are probably more compelling than Liligegren. My experience has been that when players drop it is because of their play. Not illness or injury. If injury had the influence on outcomes, Nolan Patrick would have dropped further in the prospect pool.

Leafs took a chance by taking a high risk prospect. It could turn out to be a great decision...more likely, not.

Fake fishing reports, fake prospect evaluation.

It's amazing how much bullpoop an old man can come up with.

If he wasn't that good why was he ever ranked as high number 1 at some points in the rankings? Yet there he was until he got mono and his play and health took a hit.

Draft picks and rankings are fluid gambles. Like why 6 dmen were drafted before Karlsson in his draft year. And more were ranked above him though not picked before him. When guys like Bogosian and Schenn get taken before Karlsson one has to concede these rankings aren't fool proof and that draft picks are as much a guess as it is an educated selection. To sit here and try to pass judgement on Liljegren, whom you've never seen play in a meaningful game, only makes you look stupid.

I have no idea what you mean by what your "experience has been" but you're not a scout and you've told enough lies and made up enough stories for one weekend, so just stop right there.

It's like you're playing a game of "one up" with yourself, where you continually say something more retarded every time you speak.

further proves why the leafs are in a better situation

they can afford to waste money on players that don't play and the nhl is too chicken poop to do anything about it

Gillis did the same with Malhotra after his eye injury. Of course he's partially blind in on eye so it wasn't as shady, but Manny still wanted to play and was cleared to play after. Played 100+ more games for MTL/CAR. He must've been cool with it though since he's back with the organization as a developmental coach( that was possibly part of the deal he had with the Canucks when he agreed to sit out)

I can post rankings from sites/people with minimal credibility, too.

Case in point- https://blackhawkup.com/2017/07/23/74641/

Ottawa's ranking, in case you were curious- https://blackhawkup.com/2017/07/22/74624/3/
