Now this is the time you need to stop and take a deep breath.

Ask yourself, "why am I allowing myself to get so angry? Why am I giving my power away to someone I don't even know?"

Have a good day at Wonderland with your son. Do it well and he will remember it forever.

- spatso

But I'm not angry. Merely conversing. Now ask yourself this, "why am I so emotionaly weak that when someone says something negative or wounds me with honesty, do I take it as anger?"

Fact is, I was discussing the tournament with someone else, you jumped in, and lashed out. Didn't make sense then, doesn't make sense now. Worse is that you're deflecting your participation in all this. I sense shame. Don't give your pride and self confidence away to strangers.

He's been before. He doesn't know we're going, it's a surprise. He thinks the park is closed for the season.

I doubt he's angry, he just thinks you're an idiot.

I don't think anybody really keeps records. This particular tournament started a bunch of years ago at "the Bob" in Gatineau.

The format has been rejigger several times. Saw lots of great young players suit up for the first time. I think Marion Hossa was the guy for me that was the least well known with biggest immediate impact. He went on to training camp where he was very good and played some regular season games before being sent down.

And, if you like the fights the rookie tournament usually produces a few really good ones.

It is also true that sometimes the very top picks don't perform all that well at the rookie tournament because they get so much attention. But, it is still special to to see a Vincent LeCvalier take to the ice for his first game wearing the sweater of the team that drafted him. This is the comment on LeCavlier from the top prospects game, another format I love.

"Well, another Top Prospects game has come and gone and once again the
top pick for the draft failed to impress. Last year’s wunderkid Joe
Thornton managed only to notch one assist at the Chrysler Cup Challenge
and failed to show why he was number one. Didn’t affect him at the
draft, however, as the Bruins took Thornton first overall and hoepfully,
it will be the same case for 1998 young phenom Vincent Lecavalier."

Watched game last night. Leafs lost game, lost fight. Leafs #1 draft pick looked pretty weak in his own end. But he seemed willing to handle puck, his skating looked good.

Nice to have a scoreboard.

Duh, keeping a record and discussing an ongoing tournament are very different things. I have attended lots of rookie tournaments. I honestly don't remember the winners and losers. I do remember the players and individual performances.

Nice try bozo. the only reason to have a scoreboard is to keep a record. You're such a loser. Why do you say such stupid things and then pretend otherwise when called out........ Repeatedly. Unbeleiveable. Same thing with when you're asked a question, just pretend it doesn't exist. So pathetic.

I don't need clueless morons who troll internet boards to pay attention to me, trust me.

The fact that you twist and spin everything you say when questioned just proves who and what you are. Every time you ignore a question posted to you just provides more proof that you truly are a clueless moron and you're only option is to ignore the question posed because you have no answer or the answer would incriminate you.

Youre a troll. You've proven repeatedly you know nothing about hockey at all.

"The debut of Timothy Liljegren was inauspicious to say the least, as the rookie defenseman was on the ice for four goals in a 5-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens prospects at Ricoh Coliseum on Friday, but mistakes will be part of the learning process for the Toronto Maple Leafs top pick."

This is a great quote and good reason to watch tonight.

"Best player so far at the rookie tournament in Toronto is @senators Thomas Chabot. What a pick by Ottawa."

Great quote by Renaud Lavoie (of RDS I think).

Lee sent Chabot home for the summer with some harsh words about an “average” camp from the club’s 18th overall selection at the 2015 NHL entry draft.

This is a good quote as well.....

I hope that Dermott plays tonight.

I'm not all that shocked at lilgren performance, basically came as advertised. Exceptional skating and puck skills, needs work defensively. Not all that surprising that a new draft pick from overseas didn't have lights out performance. He performed very well at the world junior showcase, one game here isn't going to determine his future.

Jaros is the real deal. He, along with Englund and Chabot will fight for playing time. Coaches love Maxime Lajoie and Harpur was good in playoffs last year.
- spatso

Jaros, Englund and Chabot will be spending the entire season in the AHL, unless they're called up a replacements for injured D men on the Sens roster.

And, as you pointed out, because Harpur played so well in the Sens deep deep run into the playoffs last string, he's earned the confidence of the Coaching staff, and will most likley be the first one called up, until anyone else in Belleville gains the confidence of the Coaching staff, in Ottawa.

BTW.........
