Yea man. Sens can definitely take any team in the east. Doesn't matter that if they were in the metro, they'd be in the 2nd wildcard spot.
- Feeling Glucky?

You need to look at your NHL history and what data really matters.

Do you really think that winning the President's Cup is a sure signal of the future Stanley Cup winner.

Throw away all the data from before the all star break and go from there if you are trying to make playoff projections.

but they aren't in the metro, and in their heads up games against the metro this year they have something like a 0.650 winning %

Don't you mean 50 years?

Oh look! A 67 joke!

Now I remind you about the 13-0 cup counts.

now you try counting another team's cup

Then spazzy brings up Laine

And then everyone laughs at Sens fans' inferiority complex.

Rinse, repeat.

pretty sure there are FAR more people who laugh at your 50 years of ineptitude then there are who laugh at the imagined inferiority complex.

Grow up! Hockey is always about scoreboard and standings.

How do you expect anyone to take you seriously when ignore the things that really matter. It is about who scored the most goals. It is about the standings. Leaf fans having been living with so much nonsense for so long that they make up their own alternative facts and pretend that they measure success differently.

It is actually amusing to see them search for credibility in the peripheral margins of relevance.

Back to back games. Pageau was awesome.

Finally some talk about Karlsson for mvp. Leads league in blocked shots. Coming on strong with his offensive output.

Karlsson took over the game in the third period and the goal in overtime was an amazing burst.

Sens can take out any team in the East. Hardest match up is Pittsburgh.

- spatso

Yotes speed gave your old dmen trouble. Even Karlsson was was walked around pretty easily by dvorak.

Outshot by a terrible yotes team, condon saved the day. More reliant on goaltending then the habs

The Sens are doing a great job on the scoreboard and in the standings this year.
However, even you must admit, some of the underlying numbers suggest they
may be overachieving.
Unfortunately, it appears the Habs 1st place spot is ripe for the picking, and a
Sens-Leafs 1st round match is looking unlikely.

Your goalie was full value for the win. Karlsson is good when the ice opens up in 3v3.

I think the Sens will overtake the Canadiens. They still have three games head to head. I think Ottawa would be happy going against the Rangers or Bruins. Rather see Sens meet Captals in second round. Pittsburgh is their worst match up.

They got to it by barely beating one of the worst teams in the league.

So much for easy games eh?

- Feeling Glucky?

Played the day before in Dallas, traveled overnight to Arizona, who was well rested, Sens played without 2 of their top six forwards in the line up, used their back up goaltender, so a good road win for the Sens.

Yes, Arizona is not a very good team, and Ottawa played on of their worse games of the season....... was not pretty to watch ......... Condon kept them in the game for sure, and Ottawa did not have much "puck luck" hitting the goal post a few times .......... but so far , 4 points in two road games gives them some breathing room in the Atlantic.

leafs back in a playoff spot yet?

Do I need to remind you that it's been 50 years (plus after this season) or one third of Canada's existence since a team from toronto won a Stanley Cup ........... so continuously talking about Cups from over 50 years ago is pretty weak, and is probably the very definition of "grasping at straws".

every other "original six" teams have made it to the Stanley Cup finals, and won a Cup since the NHL Expanded in 1967............ every other Canadian team has, at least, made it to the Finals, some wining a Cup, since the NHL Expanded in 1967 with the exception of the Jets and the leafs.

The leafs have the longest Stanley Cup finals appearance, and Stanley Cup winning droughts in the the NHL.............. you must be so proud of those Cup wins, that you were not even alive for ........ such memories.

Many times people misuse the words "than" and "then." Whether this confusion happens because the words are pronounced similarly or because people simply don't know the difference between the words, it is important to know in which situations to choose each word. As a general rule, use "than" to indicate comparison and "then" to indicate time. Practice both usage and pronunciation, and then you'll be using these words better than anyone you know!
