See, again, no answer.

They're all outscoring him, and it's not like he's a good 2 way player. Every one of those Leafs is either equal defensively (Nylander and JVR), or better, some even FAR better (like Kadri).

You can make snide comments, but everything I just wrote is 100% true.

sure, it's really easy to put up points when your entire team doesn't give a rats ass about playing any semblance of defence. Ottawa did it last year, they scored lots of goals and had lots of guys with good point totals but didn't play a lick of D.............how'd that work out for them again.

Toronto puts up lots of goals but are completely incapable or unwilling (probably incapable) of playing D...........SHOCKINGLY sitting on the outside of the playoffs looking in...................WITH THE GREATEST GROUP OF ROOKIES IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE. I mean with the greatest assembly of offense the world has ever seen you'd think they could AT LEAST make the playoffs.

They're all better than Hoffman on both sides of the rink,.

the irritation and butthurt that you display on a daily basis based on the fact that Ottawa is a better team than you is delicious. Ottawa's farm system, as in outside the NHL, is better than Toronto's. our roster at the NHL level, as indicated by the standings, is better than Toronto's.

yes, you have 3 superstar rookies, nobody denies that, congrats man..........that's ALL you have. as was mentioned in previous posts.....you have no defence with no help on the way, and you have mediocre and inconsistent goaltending. congrats on having guys who can score, and the end of the day it means nothing when you can't keep the puck out of your net.

Like I said, you have every right to be wrong. I don't think any GM would trade away what Toronto has outside of the NHL for what Ottawa does.

Nor do I think any GM would trade rosters, given the narrow difference in points this season, compared to the potential for improvement in the Leafs NHL roster, and the lack thereof in the Sens' roster.

But good job, your aging team is putting up points playing unsustainable hockey. I guess that's why you choose to ignore reality.

See this is where you're wrong. The forward group is actually very responsible defensively. Our dcorps has struggled, because our top dman from last year is having a bad season. It happens with young players.

I don't think they're very confident at all. A lot of their behavior is pretty in-line with people trying to cope with their insecurities. I recently gave a talk about this to a AA group in Oshawa that had a very vocal and spastic sens fan in the audience.

No.

The sens will be floundering because they don't have a good roster. I thought that part was obvious.

The whole aging thing, combined with not having any top quality prospects, is there to illustrate that they don't have any room for internal improvement.

And from previous posts, they don't have the financial or player assets to improve externally.

I'm sorry if that was too complicated for you to understand. I hope this cleared things up.

- Feeling Glucky?

Either you're oblivious to the obvious, or just plain uniformed. But when you fail, you fail big.

"don't have a good roster" - Roster with the 6th best record in the Conference

"not having any top quality prospects" - 4 out of the top 50 prospects, including the MVP from the WJC

FYI, the Leafs have 5 forwards outscoring the Sens second highest scoring forward.

Effectively, what you've just said is that the Leafs have multiple "replacement parts" better than all but one of your forwards.

Being a Sens fan must be so embarassing.

- prock

So how do you explain the Senators being 6 points (with a game in hand) ahead of the leafs, in the standings???

Perhaps they're the much better team?

I'm pretty sure the NHL announced at the GM meetings that they would be awarding a "we have 3 awesome rookies" version of the Stanley cup this year.

Agreed, they have a longer path and even more uncertainty attached to them the leafs prospects leading the marlies.

By longer path, do you mean next season for the two top prospects (Chabot & White) if they decide to turn pro?

He started the season with the Senators, but was sent back to Junior ........ so yes, he was rushed in, as you pointed out.

Sens will most likely lose a D man, in the Expansion draft, so there would be room for Chabot on the roster, IF he comes to camp and wins the spot ......... but I would not be surprised if they send him to Bellville.
