I didn’t watch last night's game, but was Karlsson on the ice for 4 ES goals against? Is that even possible?

Their goal differential must be way better than Toronto. Probably the same as Montreal.

there you go again, making shit up. No one has said what you're implying. Karlsson is playing better defensively this season, than he had done in the past, you may not like that, but it's a fact.

Post all your stats you want, but those of us who've seen him play know it's true.

Besides, for a D man, that YOU said, that if you were the GM of the leafs, would not take him if offered for free in a trade, you spend an awful lot of time trying to convince someone besides yourself, that a 2 tie Norris winner is somehow the worst D Man in the NHL.

Erik karlsson will never win a cup, I'm sure of it. if I were a GM and was offered Karlsson for free I'd turn it down.

You bring up a good point.

Ottawa's goal differential is not good enough for a team whose goal is to make the playoffs ................ it is slightly better than the leafs, but not good enough, at this time, to be considered a team that is likely to make the playoffs.

A positive Goal differential is usually a good indicator of a "playoff team" as most, with a positive goal differential, end up in the playoffs. Last year, all the teams with a positive goal differential, with the exception of Boston, made the playoffs in the Eastern Conference........... and only two, with negative Goal differential made the playoffs (Detroit - 13 and Philadelphia -4)

In the Western conference ONLY the teams with a positive goal differential made the playoffs and ALL the teams with a negative goal differential failed to make the playoffs.

So I agree with you on this issue, teams, like Ottawa, that are in "make the playoffs mode" are going to have to move into positive goal differential territory, sooner rather than later.

You don't think that's been happening? I assure you, it has. Not all of them, but some certain not too bright posters have made those claims.

I think one of them might be in this thread.

But there you go, making false claims again. I've never claimed he was the worst. Just that he's not very good defensively.

Which is true.

Agreed. The negative goal differential looks even worse when you see the sens are being brutally out-shot night in and night out.

Ottawa’s straw house record is so flimsy that all it will take is a cool California breeze to blow it down.

Any road trips coming up for the sens?

Have already pointed out (few page back) that this current road trip will be brutal, and a good test for the Sens "new" system ...........

You're allowed your opinion, I'm allowed mine. I don't feel that you can build a winner around Karlsson's style of play. Run and gun hockey doesn't work anymore. Karlsson costs too much to keep as a PP specialist dman, so I don't think he'll ever win a cup.

vintage prock .......

from a few years ago, insisting that Cary Price was never going to become an "elite" goaltender.

Sorry, takes a little more than half a good season to convince me. Carey price had a full good season a couple of years ago (was it last season?). And then went right back to his usual self.

yeah, uh, I don't think this quote says what you seem to want to twist it in to.

Price did have some struggles early on in his career.
