Yeah in hindsight we didn't need him to score on Andersen.

Guys guys....this isn't a Leafs vs Canucks thread. Everyone knows the Leafs are in a better situation. Sens at least make closer. Even though they suck too. They all suck.

keep telling me how expenses don't impact profit, you dolt.

Cute. Nice shift in language. I understand, you understand.

But the underlying point really is important. The idea that suits own the Leaf ticket market is highly misleading. Companies see tickets as an opportunity cost and they aggressively use ticket distribution as part of their corporate strategy. The days are long passed where tickets are casually passed out to people who might have an interest. A ticket gets offered up because it is part of your retention strategy or your trying to write new business with an existing or new customer.

Most corporations require a documented request with an implicit justification. Years ago National Revenue destroyed the opportunity of suits supporting each other by exchanging tickets for each other's benefit. National Revenue forbids the practice of my giving you my tickets and you giving me your tickets without legitimate business explanation. The entire suits argument has been bogus for many years.

a long winded way of saying companies pretty much need to give clients/customers tickets for the cost to be deductible for taxes.

so thanks for helping subsidize beer at the acc

I still can't believe those (frank)tards picked Virtanen ahead of Nylander.

It does not work that way. When a business buys a package of tickets for promotional purposes it is simply a business expense. So, for example, Yellow Pages has x number of tickets to give to loyal customers in Ottawa and Toronto. GTA Yellow Pages can probably cost justify giving out tickets at a 4:1 ratio over Ottawa Yellow Pages.

Oh and false.

Nobody wants sens tickets.

Duh!

Has nothing to do with it.

Companies cannot deduct the cost of hockey tickets from taxes. Companies cannot deduct charitable gifts.

It is a legitimate promotional expense in most instances even when tickets are donated to a charity.

The beginning of this had to do with the reference to suits as being the beneficiary of the hockey tickets at the ACC. That used to be the case years ago. Company A would buy hockey tickets and give them to the guys at Company B. Company B had tickets and gave them to A. That was the suit scandal that Revenue Canada shut down.

Actually you said Blacker was much better, and that Fred Gauthier was better than Horvat.

That's OK though, nobody takes you seriously.

Where is Blacker now?

- golfingsince

They're all poop. Blacker and corrado are garbage, Gauthier might end up as a depth forward and Horvat is nothing more than a depth forward if he were to ever get outside the most garbage team in the league

And you can look it up Skippy, I said corrado would be the 4th best prospect in the leafs organization, on part with blacker. Go ahead, find a post. I dare you.

You're just making poop up left right and centre. It's because you're a loser. And your team is total garbage.

Are you honestly going to try to make excuse anythung? The Canucks are even a bigger joke than the sens right now and you know it worst organization in the whole NHL right now. And you know it.

Highest scoring forward under the age of 36 last year? 40 points. That's fucling sad. Even at the leafs worst they wereally not THAT bad.
