It's pretty clear you paid close attention to the game against fins yesterday.

Since, you know they didn't play that team yesterday.... And Marner didn't play the game against the fins.

When the leafs are ahead on the scorebaord it's all about cap space (even if you're not going to/can't use it) and picks and prospects. Now that the leafs are miles and miles ahead on all those categories it's now changed.

you do realize the Sens did not make the playoffs, and really have nothing in the pipe to make them any better right? You know the scoreboard isn't really on the Sens side either, right?

Like most Sens fans feeling really good about team and off season changes. I think that we have not yet seen the best of Karlsson and this year will be a very talented team that has it all come together.

i thought i was very explicit saying I liked the changes the Senators made. But, it is clearly nothing more than opinion on mu part. You cannot forget that I spent many years as a Leaf fan and I sometimes revert to old behaviours of pumping expectations in advance of results.

Marner looked pretty feeble against the US yesterday. Kid is staying in junior.

Would be a tough choice to leave him in Junior for another year, as he's done pretty much everything you can do at that level .................. except maybe lead team Canada to a WJC gold medal.............. but he is a better player than a lot of the scrap that's currently on the leafs roster, so I see him starting the season in the NHL before any decision to burn a year off his ELC.

Let's face it, the leafs finished dead last in the NHL, so there's a good chance they'll be a high lottery pick team again this coming Draft, as they've decided on the long slow re-build, knowing they can ice the crappiest team in the NHL, and the mindless lemmings will continue to pay the highest average ticket price in the NHL, and fill the ACC because they have no other choice to see good NHL teams come to town and show them quality hockey players vs the plugs they'll be icing this season.

You would trade any player on your team, except Karlsson, for Marner... and the Leafs wouldn't make any of those trades.

Do you really believe what you just said. Marner is likely going back into junior for another year. This is when teams begin to worry that he cannot make the jump. I am telling you the reviews coming out of the USA WJC are not good on Marner. Nobody has panicked. But if goes back to junior you start to think that he is more Sam Gagner than Patrick Kane.
