You forgot one of my favorite links
www.slam.ca
it is the sun news chain. from the home page select hockey then your team (you will likely get more results for Canadian teams) it takes the newspaper articles out of the suns media chain and posts them on the web. for my oilers during hockey season i get 3-4 new articles about my team a day. since i do not live near edmonton and can't get the sun it is my best chance to get a true impression of what is going on.

Thanks, but I am not including news sites, blogs, or mainstream websites. This list is mainly about stats, and hard to find websites. The exception is the hard to find page on a mainstream site like the "Attendance Stats" on ESPN.com.

Another thread dedicated to news websites might be nice to have. Maybe a list of websites for each team. I know that when Playoffs come around, I like to read the news articles on local websites about the games. Sometimes the main sites like NHL.com are too bland in their game summaries.

Thanks, but 2 things:

1. You quoted the whole damn list, I asked that people not do that. It makes your post way too long for no good reason.

I have a bad habit of not reading the whole post once outside of the oilers page. the first few posts give me a chance to see the topic and tone and the rest ussually results in constant and annoying girl fighting.

summary i think i missed your request to not post the whole damn thing

EDIT: ohhhh you were talking about the big bold type right at the top wern't you

my bad..........fixed.......

Colorado or Edmonton has to be winning that. I guess Boston is up there too.

as of about a month ago it was Florida leading the league in man games lost... it may have changed since though

i would have to do some digging, but i do know Florida was leading, but as i said earlier, that was about a month ago.

edit: as of Feb 19, the panthers were leading the league in Man Games Lost with 281....

edit#2: as of tonight, the Oilers are at 301 Man games lost. i am way to lazy right now to check other teams, but i would assume Florida is still ahead of them if the panthers were at 281 a month ago...

this is the most recent list i can find. Florida still leads by about 30 over Chicago..

the Oilers and Colorado are 5th and 6th respectively

It is my understanding you can't put the oil into the 300's until the end of the season as souray horcoff and moruea all will not return but have not officially missed the games

No blogs or news sites, unless there is a specific page or they specialize in stats.

I'll add Mirtle to the Stats Blogs.

Not in a while. Probably get more links once the playoffs start. I have a few sites that have special pages for playoffs...

Is there a site for man games lost?
I believe Fla. Edm. Col. were all high, but I don't know if they were higher than the Hawks who had about 360 man games lost on top of 345 last season.

Here's another USA today link that has the pre and post-lockout salaries. It only goes back to 2000-01 season though
