I'm still trying to figure out how to live on my hockeybuzz salary alone.

All good, we are just having fun here.

I agree about Barron, he might just need a change of scenery. But then again, we said the same thing about Kovacevic and he has turned into one of the best all-round defencemen in the NHL so far this year.

Will be interesting to see who / how they move on, when trying to integrate new players into the lineup.

tks chief!
indeed Slaf had one of his best games last night. north south, shooting, head's up, physical... that's what we wanna see on a daily basis.
agreed on Barron, you're late to the party though. I thought maybe he could have stayed in CLB after the game for Jiricek, didn't happen.

Oh I'm probably late alright. But it's always hard to completely give up on a young RHD that seems to have enough tools to play in the NHL.

It's painfully obvious Mailloux is already better than him and with Reinbacher eventually playing, there's no room for him moving forward.

I think he made some really nice defensive plays, as well - specifically on the CC goal, and he shot the puck when he had the chance, not pass, resulting in a goal.

Despite the lack of scoring prior to this game, I did not see him give up or be lazy out there - he still worked hard.

So that is good.

I'm not sure about Mailloux tbh. offensively gifted, good shot, big and strong but very weak in his zone. I think Barron is better than him defensively.
