The Kings Still Trying to Get Saros Hearing the Kings have made multiple attempts to see about the availability Preds goalie Saros. The Preds want three pieces… A top 6 forward, prospect D, and first round pick

Top 6 Forward: I would think only Arvidsson would be available (possibly) and fit the definition of a top 6 forward. But he left NSH already and he's on an expiring deal. Trevor Moore is probably a middle 6 guy and I don't know how much interest he'd garner at 4.2mm AAV for multiple years.

Prospect D: I don't see Spence getting moved and Clarke is untouchable. Bjornfot probably doesn't move the needle and losing him would leave LAK without any LHD prospects outside of Dvorak who is raw and not ready.

First Rounder: LAK has traded its first the last two drafts. The stellar prospect depth is starting to thin a bit. I hope Blake stands pat with the picks, although Saros would be a great get.

So a deal seems unlikely, EK, given the parameters. Plus, there would still be a cap issue this coming year for LAK as Saros comes in at 5mm AAV. So NSH would need to retain.

We do have a strong soup culture in Southern California, but nothing like New Jersey.

Why do they have to make attempts to see if he's available? Won't Trotz pick up the phone to talk to Blake and tell him if Saros is available? Or have they made multiple attempts to make a trade for him?

ive only read this here over the past couple months so i don’t think this “rUmOr” is credible, just Eklund spinning his rumor wheel

So LA lets Korpisalo walk, they sign Talbot, exhaust all of their cap space on Dubois, and now that there roster is set and they have $123,000 of cap space...they've decided to start trade negotiations for Saros. Makes total sense!
