Tarasenko to Panthers or Sens? Now that the Debrincat deal is done all eyes turn to Tarasenko. I know the Panthers and Sens each have explored the idea of signing Tarasenko…as have the Islanders….Bit the Isles are more focused on a trade for Nylander..

My question is do the Sens have the cap space at this point ? I'm guessing maybe for a one year deal but that would be it. I think signing Korpasalo put the nail in the coffin for any big UFA signings or player trades.

Dadanov didn't work out, Debrincat was good but not great and didn't want to stick around, the Talbot trade was just bad for Ottawa, theres a pattern here.

Maybe they should just stay the course with what they have, maybe sign some cheap 3rd and 4th line depth but thats about it, they have a lot of young talent so see what they have within.

Tarasenko is good but don't think he'll fit with the Sens.

Tarasenko wants to be in the NY area so he is likely to prefer the isles to Sens. Also why wouks isles want to give up assets in a Nylander trade and still have to sign him when they can just sign a Tarasenko to a one or two year deal.

I get what you're saying, but the Sens need to add depth at the very least. Not a bad idea to let the guys like Ridly Grieg or another develop but there's a lot of players that are misses
