Duchene I get, Wheeler I don't.
He's been a staple of that team, this is a pretty unceremonious way to cut ties.
He will be such a help on a team like New Jersey, Seattle, or Toronto. |

Good to see the cancer that Wheeler is, gone. Now get rid of Scheiffle |

Boston was able to give Taylor Hall away.
These teams couldn't and now must incur dead cap space. Figured it out yet? |

This just in… Chicago to pay Deuchene and Wheeler 10m each to get to the cap floor. |

Wheeler makes no sense unless he is the cancer in the room. Why not hold on to him and trade him at the deadline and retain half? You'd still be saving the same amount.... |

Was EK before Friedman here? |

If he's such a "cancer", package him up with assets until your divisional rival takes him in trade. |

LOL @ "could help Toronto" . Toronto Toronto Toronto. They're on the downside thanks to Dubas! The Canadian retirement home, while all the young studs take their talents south! |

Time for Poile to come out of retirement and tell Trotz to stop applying a coaching mentality to an executive's job.

Terrible move by WIN. This tells me that they are not serious about competing in the short term. Cap space is precious. They would've traded future picks and utilized that cap space on July 1 if they were serious about contending. Seems like a rebuild is on deck there. |

Any Sabres quit this season, because they lost their love of the game?
