We are going to a place where many white collar jobs are going to be eradicated. For instance why would I hire a lawyer, if I can use a much cheaper multi purpose AI program to plan my defence for me. Or why pay a person to do my finances when I can just use AI. So on and so forth.

And that’s the question worth asking. I’ll use Malls as a comparison. In the 80s and early 90s, we would go to Briarwood mall in Ann Arbor for almost everything (clothes, video games, movies, music). But the markup was insane. The people that owned it kept increasing rent and made it impossible for the stores. Now, that place is a ghost town and many of us shop online or can find pretty much everything at Meijer or someplace like that. The current writer’s strike has some demands that put them on the losing end. First, they are asking for an end or big limit on the use of AI. Second, they’re asking that studios add extra writers with guaranteed multi year contracts. If a show has 2 writers, they want it to hire 2 or 3 more etc. it’s a losing gambit. But, if you become the person to say, “I can help make AI be a more realistic experience, or work with developing technologies” you’ll probably have a job. Somewhere there’s a factory that used to make video tape rewinders that looked like cars, or VHS storage, and rotary phones etc. somehow be part of the inevitable forward movement as long as it doesn’t violate your morals or beliefs. I do still prefer people, but to ignore AI will just bury me. I have to learn how to function within that medium somehow

Mind boggling!
Pretty soon people will have an AI mate!
Then the AI will get so smart and divorce them!

Unfortunately the mate thing exists (creepy). Luckily I’m pretty sure a virtual divorce can be settled using crypto currency
