The latest PR video is more proof that this is a rebrand, not a rebuild.

How can you liftoff when you haven’t bottomed out yet?

Don’t worry. Help is on the way in the form of trading a bunch of picks/prospects for Tom Wilson.

My bet is on Goodrow.

Is he not a Torts guy and under contract for 4 more years! Probably only cost Briere a 3rd.

sad thing is flyers have no cap space. A poop team with zero cap space.

Also nothing to do with "jonesy" or Danny, though I wonder how much Patrick being a complete bust factors into who they pick.

It shouldn’t factor in at all. But this is the Flyers we’re talking about, still operating like the cap and analytics don’t matter.

Goodrow was another player the Rangers erred in adding. Along with Reaves and Sammy Blais. They traded high skill to add them and it cost them. I said the moves were a mistake at the time and that has proven to be true.

self proclaimed resident expert. Only one who said it, how you don't work for an nhl team is very odd to me.

He is a little overpaid though he has given the Rangers exactly what was expected.

Coming off the heels of the success of the team's 2022 offseason docuseries, The Standard, which provided a behind-the-scenes look into players' offseason preparation under Head Coach John Tortorella, the Liftoff series will continue to provide unprecedented access to Flyers players and leadership.

There was a 2022 docuseries and it was successful?

The Rangers have lost a number of years. It's about the bigger picture. They trade away skill to gain cap space to add grinders. Then they turn around later and trade high picks to acquire more skill. The Rangers got too impatient and some of the moves they made were not the right moves. The more important idea is that those guys weren't a factor towards the Rangers winning.

define number of years, looks like 2 to me.

not the right moves in your opinion. Not a fact. They didn't get impatient at all. What exactly did they gaie up that will hurt them in the future? Look forward t your response.

Cant keep kicking the can down the road. There window is wide open. Then again Ronald Hextall is your favorite GM

Trade anything of value over the age of 25 and truly bottom out the next few seasons while the bad contracts play out. It seems so simple and yet the Flyers/Comcast are so stupid.

IMO a lot of their problems have been coaching/systems related. They could still turn into something scary if they hire somebody decent who can get them to play a more cohesive team game.

Although their core is surprisingly old... window could slam shut on them if some of these kids don't really get going. They traded a ton of picks away too, so if they miss on their 1st-rounders (which they usually do lol), they're so (frank)ed.

Some of the rumors I am hearing are cringe worthy! The first one on the block is that the Flyers are gonna offer sheet Caulfield and give up 4 first rounders. The second is a trade rumor in which the Flyers would send Hart and Gauthier to the Habs for Caulfield. This would be the ultimate! Give up the farm for a guy that you could of had for nothing at the draft if you didn't have a buffoon for a GM at the time. WTF!!

All this talk about giving up on Bob coming from the same group of people that miss Ed Snider. Anyone remember why Homer made that move? Win now mode doesn't always work especially in salary cap Era.

If I'm not mistaken Bob asked to be traded cause he didn't want to be behind the space cadet(Bryz).
