How is Marc Staal doing for you guys ? I knew he'd be a good pickup for any team. He was a solid defenseman while in Detroit. Too bad we couldn't keep him... but we are in a rebuild.

Slow as hell and that gets him in trouble sometimes. Otherwise he’s still Reliable and steady. Played all 82 games. Still used on the pk, too.

I have no complaints. He brings a veteran presence and plays more of a stay-at-home game that the Panthers need. People complain about his slowness, but I don’t really notice it.

I like his grit too.

I agree with Matt Ross, Marc Staal is playing great. He a solid defenseman who has added stability to the blue line. Zito has made great moves considering he was hampered by the salary cap.

I agree with everything you say. Usually his speed is not a problem, though, as He knows he is slow, and usually doesn’t put himself in bad places.

I don’t follow the Canes, so I didn’t know what was going on with the Raanta decision, but it kind of surprised me.

The other thing that should be mentioned about M Staal, he’s been paired with Montour all season long. Montour is tearing it up, Staal sits back and let’s him roam.

Yes, no Patches, Svethnakov, and Turbo does not seem to be 100%. And BOB has been SPECTACULAR! The Canes have seriously outshot the Cats in both games! Bob is the difference!
