Dumais is too young for the AHL. He either makes the CBJ or goes back to juniors.

I could be open to Babcock giving it a try ...... assuming he learned how to work with human beings and cut that old school coaching routine.

Even if he did that he’s still an average to below average coach.

Babcock would be about 3 steps below the bottom rung on my coaching ladder !!

Laviolette favors veteran players vs. sheparding the prospects/younger players, and that's not what we want.

As Alex said above, Dumais is a victim of the archaic Canada Junior League rule that says they will keep players until 20 y.o., or they are on the NHL roster. That rule does not help a player's development in a situation like Dumais. He dominated the whole league - now MVP, staying there another year is worthless for his career progression.
The NHL and CJHL have to amend their agreement to allow players within pre-determined criteria can move on from the Junior Leagues to either the AHL or NHL.

Maybe Jarmo can reach an agreement with a European team and have him billeted over there, playing with/against older players.
