When scouts say a player is generational it generally happens when fans do it doesn't. And scouts have only said at about Crosby, Ovechkin and McDavid before this kid

CBJ will still end up with one heck of a player I think in any of Smith, Carlson or Michkov. Think any of the 3 could be a #1 in the past three drafts or so.

Very convenient. I've also never been on the "The draft is rigged" side but this one seems sketchy. In no way does Chicago deserve the #1 pick but everyone knew it was going there.

Having said that, Fantilli is a great add to an exciting young core. I like watching the ducks now with their young players. There is excitement there. Going to get even more exciting now.

My son is a math genius and of all the results that could have happened statistically to the final three teams, Chicago, Anaheim, Columbus was the least likely scenario, but that's where Bettman wanted Bedard to go, so it happened.
