I'll be cheering for you guys all the way. But I had Vegas over Jersey in the SCF and I'm sticking with it.

Teuvo Teravainen is working out with the team. Not available for this series, but could be back if they go on to the next round.

Solid game for the Canes last night and they certainly deserved the win.

The Devils seemingly struggled with reaching the intensity level of the Canes most of the evening. Frankly it is not surprising given their big emotional win over their most hated rivals. We'll be fine once they start hating the Canes in the same manner.

Going to be a good series! Enjoy

Maybe the hatred from 2001 to 2009 will get the team involved.

2001: Devils won 4-2
2002: Hurricanes won 4-2
2006: Hurricanes won 4-1
2009: Hurricanes won 4-3

It's funny how much you can go from loving hockey after putting the Rangers down, to hating hockey after getting a beat down from the Hurricanes. But the playoffs are an emotional rollercoster.

I expect game 2 to be kind of a coin flip, game 3 to be the Devils biggest push, and then game 4 to be another coin flip.

Who knows where we'll be at that point.

Not to be a drama queen (no pun intended?) but I'm going to game 4. So I'm just hoping there's no chance it's an elimination game. I've been at The Rock when the Rangers eliminated the Devils and it' not a good feeling....

Which isn't to say this series is over. I've just always lacked faith and been a pessimist...

I know hockey isn't linear, but the Canes looked pretty strong last night.
