Good stuff Ben. I agree that Igor played a big part in keeping the Devils goals down against the Rags. This will be a very tight series and secondary scoring will be key. On paper your D does look stronger and it may be. But given how we shut down a pretty powerful offense in the last series, I think the Devils D will surprise in this one. Losing Svech is tough to overcome for the Canes and prefer he’s playing so we can really see the best matchup. But hoping for a good clean series with little intervention from the zebras

Thanks for that - yeah, Canes have been at a bit of a loss for consistent scoring with the injuries (even before, at times) so we'll see. Speed-wise it'll be a fun match-up but I think the more things open up the better the Devils' odds get.

One team had days off the other had one. And it shows

NJD had 1 shot on goal in the first period. That won't last long. We're in for a long series. I don't have a dog in the fight so the more games I get to watch, the better.

New Jersey had a lot of problems getting to the middle of the ice. By the time they did, it was too late, and their press made it easy for the Canes to counterpunch.

More of that and they'll he just fine.

I so badly wish Carolina were healthy. Brindamour has such a great defensive structure. One of the best defensive teams I've seen a few years. Just not convinced the limited offensive skill is enough to win with.
