Just one question: why does Keefe insist on starting David Kampf every overtime? I mean, 3 on 3 has absolutely no bearing in the playoffs so it doesn’t matter, BUT David Kampf??? Maybe START Matthews?? Lol

The idea is to get the puck and then change to get Matthews on the ice - so if they win the draw cleanly, Kampf changes - if they don't, they posture up and defend until they can reclaim the puck.

I actually like the strategy. The other team is going to start their best offensive weapons - if you withstand and tire that out, your best offensive weapons get a chance.

I'm pretty sure that they were 1-6 in OT starting Matthews / Marner / Rielly or some variation of those guys and after moving to a defensive line to start OT, they have been 5-2.

Jack Eichel is 6-0 in 3v3 situations. Wanna give him the Selke?

Bergeron is 2-1, Matthews is 4-4, McDavid is 3-2, Stone is 1-1, Lindholm and Barkov are both 0-2.

Maybe 3v3 isn't an indicator of defense.
