I’m not buying the hype for this game. I want the Wild in the top 3 and healthy for the playoffs. That’s all. Not seeing this as a tell that Gus will start the playoffs. Last year I thought it would be Talbot. Guerin seems to have Fleury bias. We’ll see.

Without its full complement of players, I don’t believe the Wild can skate toe to toe with last seasons Champs… especially now that they are almost 100% healthy and have been playing lights out.

If Gus plays to his ability they’ve got a shot.

I think I underestimated this squad or i over estimated the Lanche. Wild played a very competitive game and didn’t look at all inferior to Colo.

Gus was so good tonight. Everybody stepped up tonight. Even Steel can be effective when slotted right. Wild played big, tough and fast. Slavin gets well deserved credit for his defensive play. But Brodin can skate and is a stud defender. Great game for the Wild,

Great game to watch last night. I don't want to get to hyped up, but this is really looking like a fun season and hopefully a fun playoffs.

I think the Avs are missing one key part right now...Gabriel Landeskog. At least as it pertains to the Wild, I think Landeskog has been a thorn in their sides since has been in Colorado. A player I love to hate. You could almost say he is the Western Conference's Brand Marchant....almost. I think Landeskog was more skilled in his prime and not as dirty. But he always found a way to get under the skin of the Wild every time they played.

Merrill might have had a decent game last night, but Gogs should never again slot in as a forward. At least they have a couple of days to decide of they need to pull an emergency forward up from Iowa. If they do that, I would not be surprised if it is Nic Petan. The Wild are looking at 3rd/4th liners that are out. Petan can fill in on either of those lines. As it sit right now, I would rather see Walker, Rossi and Beckman remain with Iowa and get a good feel for the playoffs there. I think that would help them in regards to being on the big club's roster next year.

The Avs have managed to do well without Landeskog. But with him out the loss of Lehkonen compounds things. Plays on PP and arguably their best PKer.

It will be interesting to see how things go when Kaprizov returns. Wild were just letting Kirill do everything offensively. Now that guys have stepped in his absence how will things play out? Some players stepping now with more ice but will that continue or will they go back to over relying on Kirill?

Knies, Cooley and Fantilli Hobey Baker finalists. Good choices.
