So if you're 16 ahead and he got 3 games in hand, you obviously need a bit of luck since the average per game is close to 8. And if you succeed, you're up against an unknown Leafs fan in the quarters.

If we could ever get some goaltending that could steal us a game or two in the near future, we'd be a dangerous team to reckon with.

Hopefully, we can get a win out of today's game. Put more pressure on Tampa and build up a buffer so we can rest key players and get others more ice time. Leafs should have won that game last night. Murray was average and the defense of Lilligren and Rielly weren't very good. I hope Keefe gives Timmins a shot. He probably won't see any playoff time, unless there's allot of injuries on the back end. He's the heir apparent to Holl, after this year at half the cap hit.

Speaking of loosening up cap space for next year, Matt Murray needs a trip elsewhere or an S.S. Minnow type experience for a year on Robidas Island next to Jake Muzzin. If the Leafs can get rid of Kerfoot's contract and move that $3.5M hit onto Buntings new deal, there might be room to get Accari and O'Reilly signed to 3 year deals. Samaonov gets a new $4M x 5 deal and Woll comes in as backup. A couple of Accari type 4th liners plus a near minimum Schenn contract and we're ready to take on the 2023-24 season.
