Nice work, Jan. Continually appreciate your work on the blog.

I still say, though, that I attribute that 1st period more to the Canes excellence than our incompetence. I can't even think of a missed pass, or assignment, or baubled puck. Glad Igor was up to the task.

Agree, not on Rangers' incompetence, but Carolina excellence, as you noted. In third, they found a way to inverse that.

Lost in the my pea brain because of the last thread, like you pointing out Tarasenko. Last night he had 3 drives to the net that could have resulted in goals. Drew a penalty by Burns on one. He was good. Probably lost a shot due to Trocheck doing only what Trocheck can do.

Trocheck was lucky he didn't get hurt. But he was where he was supposed to be, just maybe too deep in the slot.

The kid line didn’t score but they had a great 3rd period. They need to do it more still, but you see them just ooze with potential. Like a goal a game+ type stuff

First period changed with the 5 on 3 penalty kill. Rangers probably have a much easier time of it if they get one there.

Yep. I feel like Kaapo has been the coldest of the three, but he started to turn things around last night. Fantastic pass to Laffy in the slot. Andersen kept the 5 hole closed.

Yea that was a great save. Credit to everyone on the play.

Kid line still looks to me like Chytils is a step ahead of the other two as far as development, which bodes well as he has a year or two on them both. So law of physics suggests they should be really formidable by next season. Patience is waning tho

Sorry I didn’t make the game last night. As usual lots of ranger fans there. If they could bottle the way they played in the third they might win the cup. I thought igor would want that goal he gave up back. He is definitely rounding into shape of the way he played last season.

That style of hockey plays into the kid line. Thought they played well both games. It would be nice if they scored more but I have no problem with them grinding the opposing d done and let line 1& 2 score

Holy crap!!
I checked out the game after your initial post and they were down 5-3 with less than 5 minutes to go!! That's a hell of a win.

Miller got 3 game suspension for spitting. Guess how many games Greer got for this crosscheck to the face?
