Tough to not get a point out of that performance last night. Especially after a back to back. Out goalied again.

There were some really soft calls against the Pens last night. Unfortunately, the one on Ruh was a penalty all day every day.

Gonna be a real test to get points with this patchwork D core.

Weak calls? Maybe the hook might have been a little weak but his stick was still in the midsection/hand area and the ref probably get a better view. A high-sticking call isn't weak its a high stick and the player was tripped in the second. But I get how you Pittsburgh fans are, its weak if it's against your team but the same play will cause an uproar if that same play isn't called a penalty against the other team. I mean you guys want a tripping call on someone if Crosby falls on the ground walking in the tunnel after a period is over.

whats Jarrys deal? Is he done or what? is it his hip or his lower back?

how is it that everyone who follows the pens knew we needed to get a goalie at the trade deadline, yet we go get 3 30+ year olds 2 of which get hurt immediately. like Hextall, please just recuse yourself and go home you are clearly trying to make us worse at this point.

I just don't understand how we even ended up with hextall. he was literally our arch rival for years, he was a goalie, so what does he know about player personnel, other than maybe goalies (which he clearly refuses to actually do anything about)...

did nothing to help the teams he was running, and so we hire the guy, like what the actual fck

He got an unexpected smack in the lips he didn't see coming haha...slow mo takes some heat off of it ...doesnt look much like a tunnel or that he even really fell on the ground...would you like to be judged today by your actions as an 18 year old?

Im just disappointed your giving that moron Top Shelf any kind of credence. Tut tut tsk tsk. You really are a Flyer at heart.

Nah, just having fun dude. Of course I'm a Flyers' fan first and foremost; and what they need to do is lose lose lose. Not firing Chuck Fletcher this offseason is inexcusable.

That being said, and as much as I consider Crosby a top-6 all-time player, he really was a whiny little diving snot his first few years. Whiny, complaining, diving, always feeling he should get the calls. Even in 2013, he became totally unravelled when they were swept by Boston. When they won in 2016, that's when I considered him to be a great player. But every superstar gets that kind of treatment when they're young, but you never saw guys like Gretzky, Mario, or McDavid act like that. And that's why, in the eyes of most Flyers' fans, he's forever a whiner.

Your description of Crosby defines everything about Philly that is WRONG. Including your mayor and DA CORRUPT but that is acceptable in Philly

hahaha not when he was taking down Art Ross' and Hart Trophies...going to the finals twice and winning a cup? I couldn't stand how much he complained, either. However, not thinking he was great player until 2016 is hilarious. Mario sooked and complained a bit...even called the league a "garbage league" when he was ejected from a game for sooking and tossing his stick on the ice from the penalty box, even threatened retiring I believe as the story goes. Gretzky might have if he was mauled like Sid and Mario, we will never know. For the most part Wayne was barely touched by opposing players, let alone having his teeth removed by dirt bags.

Pretty sure Gretzky and Mario were both considered whiners when they first came into the league.

The bad thing about first impressions is you only get to make one. Getting crushed (illegally, granted) by Hatcher then laying on the ice while grabbing into Hatcher's stick and then shining so much that you get an unsportsmanlike penalty...yeah, that's what most Flyers fans remember most about him.

I remember Chris Thorburn beating the poop out of the much bigger Hatcher the most.
