Leafs are just getting the crappy hockey out of their system now instead of during the 1st round

Seth Jarvis - Sebastian Aho - Jesse Puljujarvi
Teuvo Teravainen - Jesperi Kotkaniemi - Martin Necas
Jordan Martinook - Jordan Staal - Jesper Fast
Stefan Noesen - Paul Stastny - Derek Stepan

Jaccob Slavin - Brent Burns
Brady Skjei - Brett Pesce
Shayne Gostisbehere - Jalen Chatfield

Freddie Andersen
Pyotr Kochetkov

Martinook and Chatfield might not be ready to go, so replace with Jack Drury and Calvin de Haan in those cases.

Puljujarvi on the top line? Did they not watch any Edmonton games?

Circumstantial thing.

They could put Necas there instead but then most of your offense is on one line. This kinda spreads it out a bit, and he's had some real good chances there so far if Jarvis could figure out how to put the puck in the (frank)ing net.

The Svech injury is a killer, but it’s also a moot point. Freddie will crumble in the first round

As someone who picked Jarvis over Thompson in his keeper league, I am really waiting for this to happen.

He's still very young though.

Twice now Pulju has landed the puck right on his blade in the slot and he's just stared at it for a second then fired it right into the goalie's chest.

Freddie looked good for us his first stint then fell off a cliff.

Patterns seem to follow goaltenders.

The biggest problem with the 11/7 for me is that it seems like a deployment you'd use if you had a great offensive weapon on the back-end who is a defensive liability - but that's not Gustafsson. He's ok. He has decent numbers with Washington, but he hasn't done much with Toronto (he had that one great chance skating into the slot - and I can't remember if it was a post or a good save) - but ultimately for what Gustafsson is bringing, I'd rather Keefe work on the 12/6 chemistry options and work different defensive pairings around that as well.

He's also barely getting any 5v5 usage - with less ice time than we gave to Mete, Hollowell or Benn.

Ok, so what happened in here yesterday? 2 mods rage quit. Aaron goes on a banning spree in the Canucks blog as a farewell tour.
He names you as one of the ones that pushed him over the edge. I don’t see that.

Aaron loves me and agreed with every hockey opinion I posted.

As for the banning spree I never read the Canucks blog, so who knows.

Ya I’m starting to get confused by the 11/7 thing. All the lines are getting mucked up and not a lot of chemistry. I know he’s trying to see what works but damn it’s a mess out there and probably not comfortable for the players. Only Matthews Marner and nylander are getting extra shifts.
