Congrats Shames fans. Won a game you should have been happy to lose. A team you are competing for for a better pick. You're not gonna fall far enough while Sutter is coaching for a chance at one of those top 3, and not likely gonna make up enough to make the post season. Proud of 1 cup, 1 final, and otherwise a near half century of mediocrity at best. And the team they try to poke fun of has a decade of darkness sprinkled with hope, 5 cups, another final, and current high hopes.

Not gonna win with a group of "former winners" like Sutter, Lucic, and Lewis nor Lowe, and McTavish. Not gonna move forward if you hang on to the past.

Thanks Trevor! Your efforts are appreciated.

Flames lack a high-talent play driver. Someone with speed to help with zone entries.

Last night after two posts and a disallowed goal I was expecting Ottawa to score. As great as it was to win, Ottawa looked pretty tired.

Thanks Trever for the blog, frustrating year for sure with all those one goal games. I look forward to seeing the Oilers have another disappointing playoffs, they are only where they are because of McJesus and the German Gretzky.

Yup the tired Sens were not a real test.
On top of a high-talent play driver we desperately need a bomb from the point and a 1 timer form the wing on our PP. As it stands today our PP is way too easy to defend IMO.

If you're going to troll get it right. 1 cup, 2 finals (we lost to Montreal in 86 back around the time of the famous Steve Smith goal) & no fcking hope these days. Whats your point?

You gloss over that decade of darkness like it was not a thing. It was pretty sad to see all these hardcore Oiler posters; like yourself, Schwein, Iggy, and Jero change their affiliations to other teams out of sheer disgust. I am also absolutely looking forward to razzing your ass when you change it back (as Florida is no longer seems to be the flavour of the month).

As an Albertan, I am happy at least one of our team's fans has hope.

Lastly, as you are using the 80s as your measuring stick for greatness, you forgot to mention how proud your city was to have the largest mall in the world at that time. I only bring it up, as it's about as relevant to today's conversations as all your Stanley cups.

I can't help but think that maybe Erik Karlsson would be a good fit. Just let him and Huberdeau loose while the rest of the team plays Sutter hockey.

My city? I live in Calgary. Was Chinook ever the largest mall in the world?

As for changing my affiliation, I will gladly put the Oilers back in the memo as soon as they fire Holland and quit hiring the same old boys club idiots.

Hey H2H, I am good thanks! What about yourself?

I decided to take a breather from down South. Covid lockdowns were pretty much martial law and the economy/political situation has really gone to crap. So I am back in the Berta for now. Not sure yet if its a breather or a move. I am in the process of getting my lady a Visa......which is way more difficult than it should be.

Are the flames going to sign Coronato? Are you the only Flames fan in Toronto?

Great read! Thanks. Flames have more prospect worth noting though, Ciona is having a great season in Seattle. I watched him at the Young Stars in Penticton as well as vs the Rockets in Kelowna. He didn’t disappoint in either game. Seattle is a fav in the Dub so hopefully we get to watch him compete at the M cup.

You're even stupider than your profile pic if you think Jero and KY are one and the same. Jero continuously called anyone who didnt agree with him an idiot. And, if I recall correctly, chirped flames and their fans often. And Jero was a hard Oilers homer for the most part. To the point he wouldn't shift alliances to the Flames at least.

But you are making it easier for the idiot mods to figure out which of the Oilers trolls you actually were. Congrats on that.

I never mentioned 'Jero' champ. Idiot status now? lol Know what you are talking about or don't chime in. Be great. Tool.
