Both PA teams have horrible GMs. Neither should have been hired |

I love both dogs and cats. I just don’t have a yard and don’t think it would be fun to try to keep a dog in a small-ish condo. I’m pretty (frank)ing lazy and long walks with a dog to get it the proper exercise sounds terrible to me. When the kids are old enough to handle dog walking responsibility that’s when I’ll get a dog. - Victoro311
Both of my pugs are so low maintenance lol even when I was in an apartment, walking Hektor was a breeze. Didn’t have to be a long walk at all. Other than that he just sleeps all day haha |

My wife hates small dogs though. When we do get a dog it’ll probably be a medium sized one like an Aussie. She grew up with a lab. |

Curious no mention of JT Miller. Perhaps that wasn’t a need or real get? |

Aussies are cool dogs. I like Australian cattle dogs too. |

I haven’t really followed Bonino this year, but on a crappy SJ team he still put up 10 goals. Does anyone think he’d move to the 3rd line and Carter would drop to the 4th?

Dude, you Penguin guys hired a Flyer as you GM. Nobody thought that was a problem? It's an inside job. He's killing you because it's personal!
Or not. Just like conspiracy theories...

But, didn't he kill the Flyers first? Now an ex Pens exec is finishing them off lol.

Haha so you're saying they could've had all three of chychrun, domi, and Vrana?? Please show me your trade offers and stay under the cap. Give me at least one trade scenario before you keep throwing out every good player that was traded. I am not here to defend hextall by any means but you need to provide examples or it comes off as something a 6 year old would say. |

Said this a little too late on the last blog but only 7 of the 22 players currently on the roster are under 30. |

On only few positives out of this deadline / year is they have some flexibility and cap space going into FA (granlund unfortunately eats a good chunk of it), and they were never going to make enough moves to be on the level of the top teams in the east, so it’s best to take an underdog / us against the world approach the rest of the season. Hopefully they fire Hextard ASAP and get a GM with a vision and ability to wheel and deal some high-risk / high-reward trades to give them a fighting chance next year. |

7 players under 30 still? Sounds like Hextall has some work to do this offseason |

Yeah he will have some cap space but is anyone confident he can sign the players he needs? Pitt isn’t a hot destination for FAs. I don’t recall many big name signings.
No prospects to from.
No trade capital.
Core is another yr older.
I think the window is closed at this point. |

One of my buds has an Australian Cattle dog and he's so fn awesome. Crazy loyal to my friend. I know all dogs are loyal but this is next level. My two brother cats are getting are up there in age.. When their time does finally come I'll go back to dog... Maybe even a puppy and kitten same time. I had a dog from 3 years old to 21. That was a very tough goodbye. |

Window for what? They are still a playoff team. Anything after that left the building when they got swept by the Isles in '19.
The Pens have three UFA's next season they need to either resign or replace:
Zucker-I say let him go. He's often injured and overpaid. I see Hextall reupping him because, as you stated, we aren't getting any UFA to come here.
Jarry-I would resign, but loaded with incentives, no raise. As far as Hextall, anything goes. The one position he can land with a UFA is goaltender. That is just a weird market.
Dumoulin-I can go either way with him. I think signing him to a reduced contract is worth the entertainment value alone. Hextall now has Kulikov and Smith, two players who he brought in. He holds all the cards here. RW should finally get his wish. |

The UFA always feels overstated to me because we rarely have cap space to bring in big UFAs.
The rest though is valid. Said it before but this team needs a youth infusion more then a talent infusion. That ship has sailed though.
A little bit is they let a few useful players in their prime like McCann and ERod get away while others like Kapanen didn't pan out.
But mostly it's because we traded so many futures to compete in the Core's prime (and rightly so) that we don't have another wave to help them now. The Pens could have competed longer, but I'm fine with the direction they went. They were never sustaining at this point without a strong farm system. |

I think the Pens should have taken the Caps approach at the TDL. Sell off some pieces to create Cap space for an off season retool. Anyone with a brain can see the Pens are a playoff bubble team. Cut the losses, sell some pieces and retool for next season. Problem is Hextard is to poopty if a GM to do a proper retool. Which is why we are in this situation in the 1st place |

Yup….I didn’t realize petry was 35 lol. 3 more years of him another of carter, 2 of granlund. Kinda hard to rebuild with all that crap.
Will need to resign or replace Zucker
Jarry?

DOC recalled.
Too much complaining about the future going on... When the future is not guaranteed in any shape or form. In the present? They're back to playing solid hockey and have slightly upgraded the team this season. I'm going to try and enjoy that and not worry about next season
... that could include a swavy GM for all we know today.
Once again, no, I don't think they're contenders... But as I have said all season I think they're a good team. |
