Bill, what does this off season look like for you from the organizations perspective?

Curious when the incompetent meddling fingers of Lombardi, Barber, Brown, Holmgren, and Clarke are shown the curb as they should be.

I have a sinking feeling that when Fletcher is shown the door (if he is at all) Lombardi will be taking over. And it'll be more of the same.

Pretty clear there is an over abundance of 2nd and 3rd line forwards on the roster. Need to identify which are closer to second line quality and move some out. I believe there are similiar forwards already at LV who could fill in at a cheaper cap hit. Not really shocking tjhe forwards on the roster are not good enough with a new HC. Expecting the GM to dismantle the roster he created is absolute lunacy.

Does sitting someone in front of their family really work? It seems like such a jackass move to embarrass them like that.

has Sanhiem been playing bad? Worthy of a healthy scratch?

Little bizarre a guy playing 20 minutes a night becomes a healthy scratch

I'm just spitballing, but Torts, despite all his bluster about being open and honest and talking about family etc....seems to do these douchey type things often. There is definitely a pattern to it.

Torts has his group of personal favorites (Cates, Laughts, Cam) and he takes turns kicking everybody else in the balls.

That's the way he's operated everywhere he goes.

Would not surprise us flyers folk. If you told me their top six was playing like they are, I would think they would be having a great year, just no bottom six and they had good dollars to build a bottom six

He has not had a strong season and has been playing subpar. Worthy of a healthy scratch is debatable though.

Thank you, really no moving the needle unless you get to 3rd. I think Flyers come in 7th, I am ok with that with the odds and they can play some good games. You want Hart and whoever the core ends up to be going into next season with a little confidence

Lombardi has the requisite Minnesota connection being an Asst. GM with the North Stars. He was a pretty good GM in SJ and won two Cups in LA. Unfortunately, he didn’t adapt to a changing game.

Also has the requisite Flyers connection of being a scout for the team back in the day. The front office needs fresh faces and fresher ideas.

So 9 points out of the last wild card spot. I suppose we are hoping for as many trades at the deadline now.
