It is amazing to me that FSG is ok with this behavior. Hextall created this roster and sullivan continues to ice the guys he likes versus what is best from a data perspective. the only guys he will scratch are DOC, Heinen and Friedman. He would never think to sit carter or dumo. The decision to play desmith back to back last week demonstrates his inability to change. He now has Disco Dan fever. Adams and glass over better players all over again. And what exactly does Burke do?

Is it possible that Fenway is going to put the team up for sale to buy the commanders?

Last nights game was fücking brutal. I needed a minute after to compose myself before rejoining the family lol.

I saw a lot of people defending CDS on Twitter. While every goal wasn’t 100% on him, he gave the Isles life after getting trounced in the 2nd. That’s all they needed.

Does Sully play him again tonight? Probably

Good blog. Can't argue with any of it. Jeff Cadaver should not be getting a jersey every night. DOC getting scratched over any of the other bottom six is laughable. Exactly right, this management team is "unserious".

ROR isnt putting the Pens over the top....They need defense. Why waste the first round pick on a 30 game rental when he isnt going to fix their problems

Its frustrating watching Hextall sit on his hands and do nothing... but I agree- the Pens needs more than they have the assets to obtain.... they need an upgrade on D, major bottom 6 help (3rd line replacement) and a quality backup (Kopisalo/ Vejmelka) .... Although they committed to going for it- any major acquisition (giving up thier 1st and/or Pickering) they make needs to come with term (Chychrun) with a focus towards fixing the BIGGER picture for next year... one or two rental's isn't gonna get this team over the hump... except most of the "problems" are still in the fold for next year and likely unmovable... DeSmith, Carter,Kap..

If we had the assets.... I think a deal with Chicago to obtain Domi and McCabe, and a deal with Arizona to obtain Chychrun and Vejmelka.... and between the 2 deals dropping Dumoulin, Kapanen, and DeSmith's salaries..... I do not believe we have the assets to acquire those players and drop the salaries.... but i honestly feel we NEED to add that much to truly be competitive...

Absolutely love retiring Neal’s number. He was one of a kind. It would be harder to find a Chris Neal than the next Mcdavid.

Generally speaking, there are agreements in place with the league and other owners that a team cannot be sold for a certain period of time. I doubt they would do it let alone be allowed to

FSG has generally had a pretty bad year. The underperformance of the Penguins, the lackluster offseason of the Red Sox, and the on the field play of Liverpool (although not as bad as my Chelsea ). Not only that, but the rumor is that FSG hasnt received any formal bids for Liverpool yet while rival Manchester United has received several.

I think FSG is planning to raise cash by selling Liverpool to buy a NBA Expansion team in Vegas with LeBron. That spells bad news for the Penguins as they will become even more of an after thought.

I do agree with Willaged on bringing in a younger talent like Chychrun. Chychrun, Meier, or Bertuzzi I wouldn't mind us bringing in. We need someone to really make a difference for us not only now, but in the future. We do need multiple areas and I'm sad Noel Acciari is off the market because I felt he could be a great player for our bottom 6.

If we brought in Domi and McCabe plus Chychrun and Vejmelka. I would definitely stop questioning Hextall. I am hoping he doesn't just make a smaller move at deadline and keeps this team in shambles.

I think it would be good busy and forward thinking business by the Penguins to bring in younger players with multiple years left of club control.

That way you can play them now and help your team and in a few years, they will still be in their primes and you can trade them to recoup some of the assets you are losing now. The 1st pick we made last year isnt going to help us, this upcoming draft pick in the first round wont help us, but a young player can help us now and in the future.

Could have predicted that. It's our MO recently, score, grab momentum, and give it back as soon as humanly possible.

Doesn't Edmonton have 4 with about 30 or more?

4 with 20+. I guess the way the pens PR account worded it made it seem like they were leading lol when it’s actually they’re tied with EDM with 4 players over 20.

I thought so. Hyman's been on fire and I know RNH is having a career year for goals. Maybe they meant to say we lead our Conference lol
