the Bruins will need Arizona to eat half the Chychrun cap hit and that will make the return to Arizona a huge package, probably 4 assets

Chychrun makes no sense. Offensive sheltered defenseman who excels on PP. basically would be taking ice time away from Lindholm and McAvoy.
Not sure why everyone thinks the best defensive team needs to revamp their defense. Giving up all your prospects for chychrun and schenn doesn’t isn’t going to make the team any better.

Don has to go all in this year.
Key focus is Defence in my opinion. It has been their achillles heel in years past. Gryz is no good in the playoffs. Playoffs are a different animal. A top 4 dman acquisition would be massive. Sandpaper is key.
I like the Tampa model acquiring Goodrow, Coleman, McDonaugh. Bruins need this type of thing!

Are you saying Bruins should target Chychrun? He has yet to prove himself in the post season.

Yep I would! Chychrun has a great contract for 2 more years. Lindholm/McCavoy/Chychrun looked up is absurd.
True he has yet to prove himself in post season.

He has a harder time staying on the ice than Carlo. Solid pass on Chiclets but I'm all in on Schenn and he won't cost an arm and a leg.

Which is why they need an insurance policy like Schenn or Gavrikov. Chychrun is Kaberle all over again. Soft.

The price is too high to trade for an IR darling like Chychrun. Schenn or Gavrikov sounds way better for less.

Also wouldn't mind seeing them add a scoring winger for the third line to play with Hall and Coyle when the team is healthy. This is extra though.

I'm expecting depth moves. Having said that, its Sweeney, so I guess you never know. Maybe he will get the itch for another blockbuster and completely sell the farm for the chance to win this year.

Hope for the right moves, expect a blunder.

If they want to go all in. Give me Timo Meier. He’s probably the only guy being discussed I’d move Lysell for.

There has been sort of an ongoing discussion on the Flyers thread about the Bruins having interest in Kevin Hayes. I personally don't think they would want to take on 3 more years of term for Hayes after this season. Even if the Flyers would retain 50%. What do Bruins fans think?

Why you gotta drop that kind of hate man?

We will take Larkin though if he isnt going to sign a new deal with the Wings.

Whats the asking price for a K. Hayes at 50%? Its probably not a price the Bruins are willing or need to pay at this point. I mean, they do need some centers for the post Bergy/Krejci era, but I dont think K. Hayes gets them too much further. Seems like a kick the can down the road kind of move.

Then again, I have seen weirder trades.

You don't want 2 stanley cup champions that can contribute in a depth role?

Also Larkin will be signing soon.

they need to shed salary if they're gonna bring someone in, dont think there would be much interest in Mike Reilly out there.

Any non-contender is interested as long as you throw picks/prospects in with it. Gotta continue to pay for dishing out poor contracts.

Reilly and Smith just need a steak tied to their neck so that the dogs will come out to play with them.

Here's a crazy idea...try to get Meier, clearly the Bruins cannot re-sign him, but since he's an RFA, the Bruins can trade his rights in the summer (like they did for Kessel years ago) or someone will sign him on an offer sheet which would most likely fetch an interesting compensation depending on the value of the contract he signs... he's eligible to a 10M qualifying offer which means 4 first round picks...

What does is QO have to do with offer sheet compensation?

if im not mistaken, who ever tries to sign him must come up with a minimum of 10M, I could be wrong...
