I think the deadline will be relatively quiet. Maybe some tinkering but I don't see a point in a massive trade at this time.

Should be a tough game but if the Flyers can give the Isles all they could handle I suspect a rested Kraken team can do the same and have a good chance to win.

Going to agree with Aaron, the roster is really not lacking much. We added the depth d in Megna, I think a depth forward more likely a winger who can take some draws if needed. I still dont see Francis breaking the bank on any of the supposed big names.

Thanks Sean, agree, the time off was needed to rest up the bumps and bruises.

NYI have trouble scoring goals, but they mostly keep it close. Might need to eek out a 3-2 game tonight. Hopefully Jones is on his game tonight.

Re: Trade Deadline. If all the forwards are healthy I can’t see them doing much there unless it’s an actual upgrade, which would mean a roster player going the other way. I don’t see them doing an O’Reilly type deal. Hopefully just stand pat.

Offfff. That one landed with a thud there. Not the night we had hoped for. Bad turnovers but outshot and outhit them. Stayed out of the box mostly too. Just couldnt beat their tender.

Tough one but got to just get back at it and clean things up.

I agree about the deadline. I don't see a big rental player coming in here. I don't see why really. I think Seattle will do maybe some depth moves and I would think we'd see moves in the off season more. But even then, it really depends on how they finish the year.

I could see a move for a goaltender solidifying the position moving forward. Gru and Jones ain't it long term.

Problem is definitely in net but wont be an easy fix. Gru and Dreidger have claises and Jones done end of season.

Looks like barring some major deal that would be surprising it SHOULD be Gru and Dreidger in net next year. DAccord in Coachella with prospects past him.

Yeah I took a peak at capfriendly. I'm guessing Jones will try to get a raise based off this year, either in Seattle or somewhere else.

They could potentially trade Dreidger when healthy, if there is a team out there desperate for goalie depth but I don’t think that’s likely. Maybe he will have a ‘setback’ keeping him out until the playoffs or close to it…

Tough times for Seattle front office. Gru's contract doesn't look to age well. Thing is, MAYBE you can talk Buffalo into him or something.

I mean Jack Campbell just got $5m, doesn’t look horrible next to that.

The amount isnt really the issue its that they have Gru with NTC and Dreidger M-NTC. We are just locked in on them. Unless Dreidger is going to be out next year, I think Jones is moving on. He has played well enough to warrant a decent contract and there are enough teams needing goaltending.

Well, based on last season’s play, the amount and term made him un-moveable, never mind the NTC. Based on his numbers this season, perhaps there’s a taker out there - if the plan was to sign Jones, which would be a mistake unless it’s 1-2 years.

Anyway, we’re about to have three guys who can all contribute so hopefully everyone is fresh for the playoff drive.

Wow what a loss abd Horvat scores on Krak again. Maybe should have traded for him lol.

Seems ex Canuck fans can’t fill this thread like they did their own. It’s okay Krak have a good run going this season. Just don’t see it lasting. They’ll be like the Flames falling out of favor. Francis feels the pressure to make a move. This will cost futures.
