If the pens are healthy the bottom six I would run
Archie-Poehling-Carter
O’Connor-Bluey-Heinen.

I'm down with this but would probably swap Carter and Heiny... Actually, I'd take Carter right out of the lineup and put McGinn as 3rd or 4th RW.

This team is missing the playoffs. They are too soft, they can't score, the bottom 6 is laughable. Corpse of Carter, Kapanen, McGinn. Injured Petry can't clear a net. Time to tank it and draft high!

It's adorable to see how much time the Penguins spend in your head.

I was happy with the geno and letang signings. but with that cap space, you sign....kapanen? cant unload mcginn or dumo? the wasted cap space is there. dumo is playing top pairing minutes again? why? because he is "the glue guy" as sullivan calls him? the locker room dj? i dont really think hextall and sullivan are on the same page either. that isnt helping. smith isnt playing on the big club because he didnt trade dumo but traded for petry and signed ruutta? just crazy

I agree mostly, Ruuta though I think is a strong defensive competitor and has some playoff experience on top of that, but signing letang, geno, and rust to pretty decent contracts on ly to turn around and give desmith and kapanan contracts really is the main issue, especially if they could've had Erod for less than kap.

But if i recall, kap was going into arbitration, and the pens concern was probably that he might get more than what we paid him, but even so, i think they could just walk away at that point, and that would've been fine with me...oh well!

Colorado is going to smoke us tonight I have a feeling but I hope I'm wrong!

With the way he posts around here/things he writes I could not believe it when he revealed he's in his 70's about a month or so ago. I actually accused him of being a teenager in his parents basement last year.

I really like Mcginn, on a team that played with structure and attention to details he would be great. But he’s also the most tradable piece in the bottom 6. And this team says (frank) all to structure and details.

Take the AVS tonite if you are a bettor Casey is not ready for full time duty as a starter Tokarski might be a better option Almost even money on the game
McKinnon will have a field day against Casey Also Makar is healthy Look out Loretta

I dont dislike mcginn, he isn't super cheap, maybe not quite as effective as tanev was, but he isn't the reason our team is seemingly on a downward trajectory, its the carter, kapanan, desmith contracts, and the dumo conract which at one point was fair value is no longer fair.

A large part of our issue is the top 6. jake and sid are killer, but jake isn't big and they need someone on that line that is big and strong, that can also skate and has some skills. not necessarily an enforcer, but someone that will win battles.

Geno is basically hot or cold, I am not sure there is an inbetween, and he is more often cold than hot these days.

I’m looking at realistic options to help improve the team overall right now. Arch and Po have proving pretty good at puck possession so it may allow Carter to just float up high and maybe get into some good scoring positions around the net. O’Conner and Heinen have found some chemistry so let them stay together with Blueger who is just kind of there. Stating that the Kap and Carter contracts are bad everyday is (frank)ing boring. There’s 20 options to try at the forward position and so we’ve seen like 2. Maybe hide Carter on a line with Jake and Sid to improve the overall roster. Let Rust play with Archie and Po.

I didn't realize this exercise had the assumption of people such as McGinn being traded haha...seemed like you just totally forgot your boy McGinn....

McGinn got screwed this year. He was on fire and as soon as injuries hit his minutes got dropped for some unknown reason. Dude might welcome getting out from under the dark cloud that is Mike Sullivan.

Also going with the GOAT to score two or more goals.

That's right I got ERod!

Anyone other streamers unable to use NHL66 since the interface update? I can get the games on the PC, but as soon as I try to chromecast it, the stream just freezes. Weird thing is when I check what is casting, it says clappr????

Puck management by the entire team right now just sucks. Small miracle we haven't given any up yet.
