Another East vs. West regular season snoozer!!! The NHL really dropped the ball on the schedule this season, No wonder the TV ratings are down 22 percent.

There is absolutely no way that you can add a Chychrun without moving Barrie, unless you are willing to part with one of your $5 mil+ forwards. Can't see how you would even begin to make the money work. And what do you have to part with for Chychrun in the first place. Don't get me wrong, we are in win-now mode, with McDrai's clock ticking (and the stupid contract given to Campbell), but getting they guy you want while moving salary out as well is going to cost, big time.

Soup has been getting wins, but still can't seem to get up to a .900 S%. Skinner should be the starter, but the team can't seem to score in front of him.

Few ways it could get done for Chychrun. Kulak could also be a piece to go the Coyotes way. Waive Foegele or Derek Ryan as well and that makes the dollars work.

Don't look at overall SV%. Campbell had a bad beginning of season. Since Jan first he has a 0.913SV%. Skinner is likely still the starter but if Campbell keeps putting up at least those numbers he is helping the team.

Even with Yamamoto coming back? Aren't they already going to have to waive those extra forwards just to put Yammer back in? Then you are already playing with a short bench and no cap room. If it is lingering concussion issues with him, they should give him an extended recovery period.

Did the math on capfriendly. That includes Yamo on the roster which leaves roughly 250,000 in space. That leaves the team right at 12 forwards and 7 defensemen. Not saying it’s the wise move, just that it is possible.

Oilers now 8-0-1 in their last 9! Lots of secondary scoring. Another great game by Campbell. Team finally shook off the rustiness after a long break. Nice to see Kane with a dominant game.

Oilers getting hot at the right time.

If the Oilers can acquire Toews, they will make the Finals.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. He could tell them first hand how easy they are to play against and why there was no doubt in the Hawks' minds that they would beat the crap out of the soft Oilers in the play-in series. That series was over before it started and everyone knew it. Toews experience and overall mindset would be great for this team...but at what cost?
