Competence on display.

(I do love you Bill, just frustrated with any defense of this thing)

Thanks for what you do, and I mean that.

So, does Torts have the .....um guts.....to bench his boy DeAngelo? It's really time to sit his ass down! He's a -3 or -4 every single night. I know +/- isn't always a tell tale sign of how someone is playing, but in this case he is earning these minuses every night. I'm actually beginning to HATE this guy as a player. He's always out of position and his play on that 3rd LA goal last night should have warranted an immediate splinter picking session for the entire 3rd period. Come on Torts, you say you'll bench anyone if needed. This guy is screaming for a benching. He's making Risto look like a Norris candidate. And no, I don't think that was a penalty in overtime. Just this smacked ass out of position once again and trying to blame the refs for his blunder. He's nothing more than a selfish turd. BRING BACK GHOST and FIRE CHUCK!!

It was a penalty in overtime as was the stick on the hands to Deslaurier while shorthanded. Those 2 are always called. Bad night for the stripes.

Morning Bill. I wasn’t able to finish watching the game but I remember Wade Allison going down the tunnel after a fall. Any word on him ?

Not a contending team, not a playoff team.
Also not in the mix for a top pick.

No man’s land. With no end in sight. Being a fan of this franchise is a chore.

I pray they play at least .500 hockey until the dead lien if not better. Really want to see Chuck become a buyer and hear the spin.

Tony d has been very bad lately. What will the coach do?

Tortorella has already scratched Angelo once this season if I remember correctly.

What would you do with Tony D? Any plan or or course of action?

Him and Sanheim do not work at all.

I thought he missed time due to the passing of his Grandfather, but perhaps there was a healthy scratch somewhere. He needs a vacation. This guy is as bad as Yandle right now and I thought that would be an impossible feat to accomplish for anyone.

Due to his offensive production, he's a better player than Yandle but defensively, yea, pretty bad. We knew that when he was signed though. He is as advertised.

Have to give credit to Torts at this point, he’s got a bad roster playing pretty well. Team looks much more organized than previous years. Unfortunate that we are in no man’s land in terms of playoffs and draft pick. Frost playing the most consistent ice time in his career, Tippett showing some reason why he was such a high draft pick, TK with a hell of a season. The new and improved Risto!!! Our D core is as vanilla as they come, to think this was supposed to be a strength going back a few years, afraid not

I don't understand why the Flyers are persisting with playing two dmen in OT when their OT record is terrible: 1 and 7.

And they have at least four solid forward combos they could be sending out in OT:

Cates-Konecny
Frost-Tippett
Hayes-Farabee
Laughton-Allison

They have a coach that favors conservative defense and doesn't play a modern style.

I guess you’d put Sheldon Keefe in that category too, with all his talent he opts to start two D at times
