Thanks for your articles and insights on the Jets this past year. I hope you and your family have a terrific holiday season.
As for the Jets it would be great to see them healthy in the new year.

Ilansjet is back too!!!!

I am hoping that we get Erik Karlsson for Christmas. Or even a Ryan O’Reilly. Imagine how the locker room would react to either trade. Sends a strong message that we are all-in!

Another very good option could be O'Reilly. A lot of big name pieces out there right now. I would shy away from Karlsson, unless SJ will eat a lot of that cap. If they can get him for $8m or less, they should, but any more than that and I would take a pass on that

My Jets wish list for Xmas:
1. A playoff position ( and after that who knows)
2. A contract extension for PLD (what something like $8.5 for 7 years?)
3. A Vezina trophy for Helle
4. Norris consideration for Josh Morrissey
5. Calder consideration for Cole Perfetti (hopefully he stays healthy)
6. Quick healing and a speedy return for all our injured players - an especially quick return for Nik Ehler (our most exciting player) and Blake Wheeler (still the heart and sole of our Jets). This would help is achieve our #1 Xmas wish!
7. Continued ice time for AJf, who has brought contagious energy to the team
8. More "puck luck" and goals for Kyle Connor, my favourite player
9. A tweak to our top-six forwards at the deadline, or shortly before, if we still ridding high in the saddle
9. To one, to all, a very "Merry Xmas" to the team - and all the readers here!

Have a good one!!!

EK has 4 more years at 11.5 cap hit!!

I agree it would be good and needed to go all in as Sheif and Helle only have this year left and next year on contract so mgmt needs to go all in.

But EK's cap hit, yikes!!

Some great posts.
I think getting a physical Schenn from the Canucks, a skilled 2nd line forward and a physical 3rd/4th line forward would help this team greatly. It will be good to see how the Jets play when they get all their player back from injury.
The better they play the less drastic moves they will need to make. Merry Xmas everyone.

If you can get Erik Karlsson at Wheeler’s cap hit, you’re laughing. The way he’s performing, he’ll still be worth Morrissey’s tag when the deal ends
