Must have been nice to see; that was one of the less than half home games I don't attend each year. My entertainment budget is maxed out and I refuse to pay the monthly fee to yet another streaming platform... after attending and viewing a majority of the then straight losses, I was forced to miss this win. TBH we watched a good older movie on one of my current streaming services... Comcast-Specticor/NHL better be careful, we may get used to spending our precious time, and inflated budget dollars elsewhere. /RANT

oh yeah ... BTW, FIRST.

I know I posted just yesterday that most of the games this year have been competitive and entertaining, but last night's games was painful to watch. I think it was no later than 9pm and I honestly couldn't keep my eyes open. The game reminded me of a Roger Neilson special, boring hockey. On the bright side, its good for the team to win a game once in a while. 1 win out of every 10 games is a good pace for this season.

Are the Flyers about to start a lossless streak?

Philly earned a 33-24 shot on goal advantage in the game. It was structured, hard-working effort up and down the lineup
Sounds just like last year 😂

I thought last night's game was well played up and down the lineup for the most part. The Flyers seemed in control most of the game and they deserved to win. Hart was great when he needed to be. Provy was particularly noticeable on the back end. Hayes played an overall very good game. And Sedlak, for all complaints about him, played really well, also. It was good to see them get off the schnied.

That said, with their next 3 opponents, the next schnied is right around the corner.

We'll see. They'll be underdogs for sure. But two of their 8 wins came against TB and NJ. On any given night, and whatnot.

i keep dreaming that this keeps up and a desparate playoff bound team loses a center at the deadline. i don't mind Hayes FWIW, but moving that cap would be so crucial....for whatever stupid idiot mucky mucky the Flyers brass want to use it for.

said it before the season this team is going to find a way to muster up 75 pts this year and miss out on a top 5 pick..They will get a few bodies back soon..Hart will steal games here and there...opponents will take them lightly...will face lots of backup goalies..and oh yeah will have the annual post trade deadline winning streak when games mean nothing...Its the Flyers way.

This is absolutely going to happen.

I’ll take it one step further. Fletcher will consider it a win of a season. A stabilizing year. He will be kept on as President of Hockey Ops and Briere will be named GM. The mission accomplished banner will be hanging on the rafters at Wells Fargo.

It will be enough for the Flyers brass to sell the rubes that things are on the up and up. Many will buy into it.

Isles never had their legs last night. Once the Flyers took the lead you knew this was going to be the game the Flyers had a shot at actually winning.

give it Hayes, he is engaged and doing what he can within his limits. Still like Sedlak, good skater.

Haha dear God.. I can see it all happening for sure. We'll definitely win just enough to be outside the top 5 because of the March april 3 or 4 game winning streaks. CBJ will move up and pick first overall and we'll move below our projected spot and draft someone that will get injured on the way to the airport after the draft....

Two top line points plus 3 for Sed.
Maybe he is our scrap heap pickup who blossoms into a real threat every shift ala
Ryan Hartman.

After last night's offensive explosion, the Flyers are still ranked 32nd in scoring. In allowing goals, the Flyers are ranked 19th. Unless Hart plays 65+ games at a Vezina level, they are not getting out of the top 5. Sandstrom is no where near the level of Hart. The forwards returning were part of the team, that was awful at scoring last season.

It hurts to lose to a bottom feeder team that lost 10 in a row, huh?
Losing to this flyers team is 100% pathetic. Good call!

It happens to every team, every single season. Let down games and losing to an opponent that they shouldn't lose to. Unless it becomes a pattern. Not really a big deal.

He is right, though, that NYI did not look like themselves

I thought for sure that this would be 11 in a row for us.

It time to start a new streak in the next game then!

They are on pace for 75 points. That is way too many if they want to pick in the top five. Tied for 8th worst point%.

I predict they finish 5th worst. Anaheim, Chicago, CBJ and Arizona are pretty awful. Ottawa, Buffalo and San Jose should have more points than the Flyers by the end of the year.

Keep the effort up and the winning down.
