Looking at the roster what is the upside of the younger forwards? Frost Cates Tippet are all 3rd line players at best. I just am not seeing any top 6 for their future on a contending team. Farabee may be though no guarantee by any means.

TK and a healthy Couturier are the only legit top 6 player on this roster and on the Phantoms. Let that sink in to see how far away they are from contention. Weak down the middle.

On a side note Risto has looked better. He was sheltered for a few games now back with Sanheim. We shall see if any of the coaching has helped him. Tony D in the PK isnt working all that well to me.

Any thoughts/opinion on the Flyers alleged interest in Vatrano?

He's a nice complementary forward who can fit on a contending team. The Flyers don't need the $3.65M cap hit for three years. I like the player but it's not where the Flyers' energies should focused.

I have to disagree on Tippet. Pit him with legit 2nd line players and he can hang if not excel no problem.

He's streaky but it's easy to like his game when he's on. He has chemistry with Frost although they haven't had simultaneous good games on the same night in the last couple games they've been together.

Tippett has just had no consistency, he looks great and then he’s a bit sloppy. Potential is there but he’s never going to be a go to guy or the main force on a line. His ceiling is more in line of a Jake debrusk. Good compliment player to a top 6.

The drafting the past 8 years has been pathetic. To have as many first round picks as we’ve had and the best you come away with is a TK/Provy is a big reason we are where we are today. It should have been torn to the ground a long time ago. G and Jakes career were spent in purgatory due to this organization’s incompetence.

Lets see where everyone ends u by the end of the year. Tippet isn't some rookie at this point. He can be a contributor going forward. Just don't see it as a top 6 contributor going forward.

Agree with Vatrano. Is there anything to these rumors that you have heard on your end? Would be a typical Flyers move however.

Everything has been pathetic.

Pretty much every decision in every aspect/dept. has been subpar. This GM has made bad signings, bad trades, so far not much on the drafting front, bad coaching choices (Phantoms and Flyers), bad development, put this Franchise further into being irrelevant.

Can anyone honestly say what this guy (Scot as well) has done good?

The annual 10 game losing streak is alive and well, I see. They change players, GMs, and coaches and nothing seems to matter. On the bright side, the campaign for Bedard is going strong. At this point, is there any reason to bring Couturier back this season given his numerous injuries and value to the franchise?

The bottom feeder, incompetent farce this franchise has become is accepted by ownership.

The worst franchise in professional sports is this dumpster fire.

G is bringing so much more success to Ottawa. Oh wait, they have less points then a team on a current 10 game loosing streak

Way to go fraud giroux 😂

I like Tippett. One of the pieces I’d keep. My wish for Xmas would be to fire chuck and have his replacement begin as much of a tear down as he can. Some of the pieces could be valuable to a contender. Very few untouchables if you get the right price.

The market is likely to be very limited with the cap picture around the league.

It’s sad that the only debate we have on here is whether or not this team is now the worst pro franchise in sports. I’ll tell you I didn’t think we’d ever sink this low for so long. A decade of irrelevance.

Flyers easily have the worst center talent in the league. The offense has no shot of improving without major upgrades at center. The only options in the organization right now - established top 6 center recovering from 2nd back surgery. Top 5 pick playing in college in first year learning to play center. NHL vet on a tryout playing in the AHL. Capped out team, only option is to out suck the rest of the league and get a top 3 pick at the end of the season.

They’ve got to try. If the market dictates you have to wait until offseason then so be it. I want the gm out now but I worry that it may not happen any time soon which would be the real disaster. Even if we didn’t hit on picks by getting generational talents Its literally impossible for us to have been worse off then if we had kept hextall or at least had a gm who subscribed to the same philosophy. Clearly, it wasn’t go time for the team to go all in with trading picks for vets when chuck took over. That much seems certain.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see coots Ellis and Atkinson stuck on ltir until retirement. What a treat that will be.

Tippet & Farabee only pieces I would keep if it were an option. The problem that continues to exist is that the organizations “core” is grossly overrated & over valued by management & fans.

Yes, the team stinks & has stunk for last few years. Players like TK, Provy, Sanheim, Laughton usually play the most minutes but when you look up stats for a team on a 10 game loosing streak & has stunk for most of the season how do you see
TK -9
Provy -5
Laughton -10
Sanheim -7

& also see
MacEwen even
Delesurias +1
Seeler +7
Sedlak +2

Inexcusable. The “core” is & has been gutless heartless bumms
