I don't know what to say if you can't see that the team is desperately lacking defenders and centers in the system. Even a winger who will go to the net would have been something nice to add to the system.

I fully agree, and wish we took Pickering. Outside of that one pick Lekkerimako seems like a better option to me. If we sell this year, defensive prospects will be easy for us to accumulate IMO. Ceulmans from CBJ is likely available, they want a center with term and Miller is a perfect fit. NJD have scouted us and Shakir Mukhamadullin is likely available. there are plenty of other teams with some good available D prospects we can target, plus we will likely get 1 or 2 more 1sts this year. We could stock up real quick.

Not many positive takeaways from Elias Pettersson and Jonathan Lekkerimäki’s first game at the 5-nations tournament.

Pettersson took two penalties.

Lekkerimäki had a lot of shot attempts on the power play but didn’t look dynamic at all during 5-on-5 play.

Like I said about Lekkerimaki. Other than Pickering, there is nobody drafted after him that I would have cared to take instead.
