Another 45 shot night for Gibby… what’s it gonna take for Verbeek to pull the pin on this jagoff.

And Max Jones can follow him out the door he sucks.

Agains we take penalties line we got some kind of decent PK…

this team blows …

And this management makes the Bruins look good…

The good news is they can score goals, on the rare occasions when they have the puck in the offensive end, which is the bad news. The script is getting repetitious - get their butts kicked in the opening period and then spend the rest of the night trying to catch up. Occasionally they catch up and they're above average 3-on-3 and in shootouts. 13 games into the season and 0 wins in regulation. And about as bad a PK as I've ever seen.

There is no quick solution. Dumping the coaching staff won't make 3rd pairing D-men into top pairing guys and it won't make guys like McT and Z into 200-foot players overnight, but it might bring into focus the need to be ready to play in the first period and a sense of urgency that seems to be lacking, especially early in games.

This is directly tributed to the retirement of Getzlaf. No one on the team right now has the presence to get the kids playing their game from the start to the end. What I REALLY like though is that when the kids get behind they keep playing, I think they actually play better. This will bode well in the long run. Most teams who have a lot of kids in important positions (McDavid's Oilers-MacKinnon's Av's) start the games great and then fold down the stretch and need to learn how to finish games. For the most part, this Ducks team plays best in the third period and into OT.

Would you guys entertain trading Shatty to the Sens ?

What would you want, if he even agreed to it ?

Hell yeah! But why would they want him? He's good on the PP and that's about it. Moot point anyway, he got injured last night.
