I am surprised a well run organization like the Bruins would do this.

Kid should never be able to get a job or earn a living ever for acting like a douchie 14 year old kid.
Let's make him homeless and get him living under a bridge. |

I can honestly see this tanking Pasta signing an extension. Frankly I wouldn't blame him. This is the type of decision that can kill the chemistry of an organization. Beyond Stupid! Seriously, what is the upside? Actions like Miller's define exactly the type of human being he is, regardless of his age at the time. |

It's extremely disappointing. The common misconception here is that this is a one time thing or something he did as a child's mistake. It is horrible pattern of behaviors that occurred from 1st grade all the way through high school. In no wave shape or form is Miller contrite about his actions. This means that is his character or lack thereof. Miller and the Miller family are (frank)ing scum.
Don Sweeney needs to be fired immediately. His bungling and idiocy in todays press conference is microcosm for this mans entire life. It baffles me that this piece of poop is a Harvard grad. |

As we have seen far too often over the past few yearsl Democrats are quite willing to give serial rapists, felons with anywhere from 25-50 priors, homicide suspects and more numerous chances with zero bail, zero jail time, and early release. So, why shouldn't this 14 year old at the time individual get A 2nd chance - hockeygm
This has nothing to do with politics. This is bad judgement by an inept hockey ops group. |

He was 14 years old. Give him a chance. By same token if he messes up again GM should hold true to his word and drive him back to airport. He made a mistake, give him a chance to redeem himself. |

His family certainly should share the blame for how he behaved as a child. A lot of people failed considering he was able to harass this kid for years.
I’m hoping he grew and learned from his mistakes. Time will tell.

No. Just no. I'm sorry but his NHL career should have ended when the NCAA and the coyotes organization made the correct call of dropping him.
Certain things you don't come back from. Sorry. Don't give a poop what age you are. It's not like he got a DUI, or had a substance abuse problem. He acted like a predator in targeting someone with disabilities with a racially charged motive. (frank) him, and (frank) Neely and Sweeney for signing off on this.
Fire them both. I hope Miller gets run at every (frank)ing night in Providence. |

This. Add Neely too because it seems like he was the catalyst who orchestrated the signing. Sweeney is just the spineless coward who went along with it. Check his press conference. He didn't want this, but (frank), gonna do it for my paycheck.

Half of the NBA & NFL would be in jail if not for a 2nd 3rd 4th & 5th chance
Kid was "14"

Money talks, integrity walks. No. You forgive a kid like that, you deserve to shake your own head. There is forgiveness, and then there is accepting evil and rewarding it. Pro sports seem to be a fan of the latter.
Clearly you haven't read that the string of behavior continued. Even after court. It's not an isolated incident, it's a pattern of behavior.
No sir, shake your head. You can pay to watch a monster let their dreams come true. I won't |

I'll watch this kid & pull for him all the way. Monster LMAO!!!
Pull up all the bad things THUGS did when they were 13-14-15 years old & there would be no NBA or NFL. END OF STORY.

Pffft, Sweeney saying that is 100% posturing BS. Can't believe people fall for that kind of talk. It is what it is, they saw an opportunity to get a player for a steal and took it, regardless of the type of person he is. Everything else they say is just PR damage control and trying to control the narrative. |

Glad to see our board overrun with cretin and Miller sympathizers now.
This situation has zero to do with politics or political leanings, so I'm not sure why we are trying to bring it there.
Miller is a piece of sh!t who "as a kid in middle school" BEGAN his career of bullying and assaulting a disabled boy, and CONTINUED on this path throughout the next several years of middle/high school.
Have we really gotten to a point where people will stand behind those who make fun of and harm people with disabilities?
The trash bag never apologized. He still refers to it as "an incident" even though it spanned numerous years. He still refers to it as "a mistake". Mistakes happen one time. Twice MAYBE. His actions were a pattern. When he was finally forced to contact Isaiah by the bruins in order to sign, it was through a DM on Instagram. Real personal.
There has been no remorse shown, no remorse spoken, so there is no remorse for him either.
Let's be honest here for a second too, most of you Miller fanboys are only behind him because of who Isaiah is, and it's not because he's disabled.
Although I don't imagine they actually keep this scumbag, it would be nice if he stuck around until Friday November 11 so we can give him a nice welcoming here in Providence. |
|
|
|
Other questions are, why did Arizona let him go and why did University of North Dakota let him go? Seems like he did get couple of second chances with those two teams. So why now is he ready? Why would you also bring this BS into your clubhouse?
Bruins are playing some great hockey without this guy.

It takes a certain kind of person to bully a disabled person. That's not a character flaw, it is being a sociopath... no compassion or empathy. People like that do not change. They may hide it for a while, but it will come back.
The Bruins have a great core of leaders. Bergeron is the model of what a captain should be. Marchand is outspoken in his support of gays and minorities. Then Sweeney thinks this is going to help the team? You KNOW the Bruins players want nothing to do with this guy.
They are on a roll, playing winning hockey and they sign a cancer?
Terrible move, terrible person, embarrassed to be a fan right now.
...and for everyone making excuses for this kid, saying he was in eighth grade, only 14 years old... That is DEFINATELY old enough to know better. He wasn't a 'kid' he was a young adult. At that age I had a job, was thinking about getting my first car. I didn't know anyone who put candy in a urinal and gave it to a disabled person.
He was obviously raised by terrible parents which does not excuse him, it only enhanced his sociapathic tendencies.

And so it starts...Bergeron in an interview to be aired tonight during the game. Instead of playing hockey and just enjoying playing hockey the players are now going to be dealing with this...the questions, the second guessing, etc., etc.
Regardless of the right or wrong of giving this guy a second chance, it is now going to be a HUGE distraction to the team. Simple, boneheaded and unnecessary move by Neely/Sweeney that could very easily tank this team (and contract negotiations with Pasta). Stupid, STUPID move. |

And it's not just interviews, it's the friends and families that will be asking questions of each and every player. |
