Have you guys seen any recent pics of the The Thrill besides the cake pic in this blog? Probably the slimmest and trimmest I've ever seen him heading into this season.
EDIT: shes pretty slim and trim, too .... |

Am I the only one that will likely get motion sickness when these boards start changing ads during play? If they wanted to change them at whistles or in between periods, that's reasonable.
I guess the NBA does it and it works. |

During play?! first I heard of that. That will suck....I even find the ads transposed on the glass behind goalies can be very shaky or glitchy looking in a lot of broadcasts...I wouldnt care much about ads on boards changing between whistles but I believe if its changing during play, for hockey which is such a fast sport, that it will be an eye sore, distraction and yes, quite possibly head ache inducing.

Wow, you’re really going out on a limb! - sjfpp How so? He had 52 points on a depleted Yotes team. Is it really that far fetched that he comes up with 8-13 more on a Vegas team with some actual talent?

The more I sit and think of Hex vs Sullivan's strategy the more I realize Hex should just do things the JR way.
If we lose POJ, Big Z and Ruhwedel or Friedman to waivers. Then why does it matter if we have a stocked prospect pool if we will lose them all to waivers anyway? I am pretty confident this past trade deadline and even this offseason we could have landed a solid player with POJ, Big Z, either Ruhwedel or Friedman and a pick.
Sullivan plays the vets over prospects (I get this isn't always the case), but it does seem like he is a bit bias (I guess I am as well since I go to most WBS games and am for the prospects). I do question why Hex also feeds into this by signing someone like Rutta this offseason and Archibald. If you don't make a spot for these prospects to eventually have a spot on the big roster, then why keep them around?
I know a case can be made for a replacement due to injuries, but as a prospect would you sign with a team when you have less of a chance to win a spot with the big team? Sorry for the rant this morning, I just think Hex needs to figure it out that he needs to be aggressive because the window is closing. |

POJ, Friedman, Ruhwedel, and Zohorna are not worth anything on the trade market.

The window has closed.
POJ has the most trade value. I assume he is being offered for a pick, maybe a minor leaguer thrown in. The others aren't getting you much, if anything.

Probably...but luckily the players and coaches dont believe this...if they make it in anything can happen. Every player, coach and GM in the league thinks/knows this. |

I think the players and coach think it. I think Hex kinda has one foot in the door of belief and one foot out. He is a GM built for the future and rebuilding and he looks more at prospects and them holding weight. |

Currently yes. I more so meant when we didn't have a log jam at the positions. POJ and Zohorna had some value around the league. Now not so much. Ruhwedel I more so am venting, but he should have been our bottom RHD starting defenseman. |

Just poor roster and cap management.
I can see having Archibald in a 4th line PK role and having someone try to knock him out of it. Might have been what did Zohorna in as he doesn't kill penalties that I know of and you kind of have to most of the time as a 12/13 forward.
But that they never until this year had a roster spot for POJ when he was doing everything in WBS. And brought in Smith to compete which no complaints there. But I do think those were if not the top 2 then certainly among the top 4 young players on the team and POJ may be waived without ever getting a shot to play in the NHL despite doing well in WBS.
I definitely go back to Ruuta. Money they didn't have. In Kapanen's case, I still spend that money on a wing, just not him. Left them selves without a 23rd spot if a waiver eligible guy made it and Smith did. |
