I was pretty harsh with Slafkovsky, but he showed me some things tonight. He seemed more comfortable. I think playing with actual NHLers will make a big difference.

The Simoneau-Gignac-Belzile line had a rough night. Those guys should get their ticket for the Laval Rocket training camp tomorrow.

If Slafkovsky was exciting to watch, Hoffman was infuriating. It took him ages to start shooting and when he finally did, they weren’t all quality shots far from it. Furthermore, he was guilty of 3 giveaways and spent 2 whole minutes on the powerplay, time that would have been much more beneficial for a red-hot Slafkovsky. Quite frankly, this is the Bergevin signing I dislike the most and I wish the team could decide to just put him on waivers.


I'm sure St-Louis sees the same thing, but I wonder if he has any real leverage over this or if his hands are tied with the mandate of "showcasing" him so the habs can eventually make a trade...

Simoneau wasn't dominant but overall during this camp I think he gained a few points, the kid has some spunk.
