Z coulda been worse.. sounds like he’ll be ok. Gotta get a hammer for protection-

Rocco needs a contract asap.

Nathan B.. uh hope he’s better than he has been the last few years.

Meh, he's a sixth/seventh. His signing probably means Urho will be out for a little while and it also means the Josh Mahura experiment is coming to an end.

I hope Helleson grabs a spot.. and Warren esp.

Kulikov can't play 2nd pair minutes... if we want to be competitive. We need that 2nd pair LS D man...

Crappenkirk can be a 7 or 8 -

Love Warren! He's been a revelation, but I doubt GMPV is going to keep him going by his past comments.

It pisses me off to no end... that the Ducks are not a merit based organization ... If you the best player well that doesn't matter..we're gonna not give you a spot well... because we don't want to... drives me nuts..

I suspect they're keeping Warren around to get another week of NHL level coaching before heading back to Gatineau. He might be the closest to being physically ready to play in the NHL and battle in the corners of any of the young guys. So far he has looked good against mostly AHL and junior players from two of the worst teams in the league (AZ and SJ). I'm not convinced he's ready to play D against top-line NHL'ers for 82 games.

Get used to the left side D being patchwork for a while. Kulikov is a solid 3rd pairing but will probably have to play second pairing minutes. Mahura is getting a last chance to prove himself in camp. Based on the Kings game, it's not going well. He'll either get waived or be one of the guys rotating through the 6, 7, 8 slots with Beaulieu and Benoit. I don't see anyone playing well enough so far to own that slot, but I don't believe Beaulieu would have gotten a contract if they didn't plan on using him.

Help is coming from the kids, but most (maybe all) of it is a year or two away.

That's assuming Vaak is out for awhile. When he is back, he is also part of the 2nd/3rd pair mix on the left side. I'd like to see him get some more third pairing time before getting slotted into high leverage minutes.

Well if Crappenkirk.. is going to be on the 3rd pair RS.. I hope not.. but if so. We need a solid LS D man there to help..

From what I saw and heard Kuli is not a 2nd pair guy and that was on a much better team in the Wild... Ideally he's 3rd pair.

I want to see how they roll tonight. But we need a real 2nd pair LS D man..Neither Beaulieu or Kuli are it..

Chychrun anyone ??? 23 1st, 24 2nd and one of Perreault, Tracey, Sasha and / or LaCombe or Andersson..
