There’s a nice set of hooters in the advertisements on this site.

#Sabres forge a real look in practice, will take lineup through final two exhibitions, starting here Tuesday vs. #Canes.

“i think our lineup going into the season is pretty laid out. I don't think there's anything that's too surprising or shocking.”

This is kind of old news. They did that with the World Cup of Hockey whenever it was played a couple/few years ago. Most people that paid attention knew this was coming eventually.

I actually was in on a study of this and watching with this type of ad really wasn't that bad. It's something you just get used to not paying attention to. They are more noticeable during stoppages. Not during the play.

How does Anders Bjork remain in a Sabre jersey? Branden Biro must feel great about that. There seems to be nothing he can do to earn a spot because he was undrafted; meanwhile, there's nothing Bjork can do to lose a Sabre jersey. Is the a money/contract reason for this? Certainly on ice play has zero to do with it. Is this another move from the crack analytics department that zeroed in on (read: were forced into) Comrie?

The final forward spot on the NHL roster is the 14th forward, right?

If that's true, it means Hinostroza is the 13th forward.

Would you rather have someone like Biro sitting in the press box most of the time, not playing as the 2nd extra forward, or would you rather the player who barely plays be Bjork?

Wouldn't you rather have someone like Biro playing actual games in Rochester, instead of only practicing and sitting in the press box on the NHL roster?

Ditto Sheahan, who would be a nice veteran forward mentor to all the young forwards in Rochester?

Would you keep Bjork and Sheahan in the press box and bring up Biro for injuries lasting more than 3 games out?

What are you doing with Peterka and Hinostroza?

Hino can be used as 1st replacement for injuries, Peterka should be playing 3rd line.

If there is an injury to the top 6, I would prefer to see a Rochester call up than a Bjork/Sheehan fill in.

Getting better, even at the last F position, is getting better. Anders Bjork is never going to be an NHLer. He should never see NHL ice. Biro can come in and not embarrass himself every shift. Who knows, he might turn out to be better than 13/14 F. Bjork is nothing more than a warm body. I want him out of the organization. I don't need to send the message to Biro that "hey, kid, sorry but you're a career AHLer." And, at the same time, we can't get out of the basement in Buffalo.

If we're too cheap to get better at the top of the roster the we darn sure need to get better at the bottom of it. And, for that matter, do we know Vinnie is a better player than Biro?

But it isn't helping Biro in his development if he's in the press box playing every 5th game. Understand where you are coming from but it really doesn't help Biro.

I don't think we will be top 5, if we get any goaltending at all, I could see us pushing 80-90pts.

Where exactly are you developing Biro to? You think he's going to be top 6 some day? I know I can right now rid my organization of a non NHL player and add a better one to my NHL roster at no cost. Yes, bottom up improvement is only incremental, but it's sustainable. Anyone on the active roster (say Peyton Krebs) who drops to Biro's level of play now sees the press box. Was anyone ever going to drop to Bjork's level?

Decision after decision, the Buffalo Sabres roster is the least priority.

Olofsson is proof that draft position does not matter, when it comes to earning a top 6 roster spot. What’s stopping biro from doing the same?

Right now I am developing him in Rochester and building chemistry with other prospects to hopefully move up in the next waive. And first off it will be Hino who takes that spot. And then you go from there, doesn't mean Biro can't be called up 10gms into the season, and if that happens atleast he was playing games and not sitting in the press box.
