Carol Schram: Kuzmenko looks sharp, PP clicks, but Canucks can't hold lead against Kraken After storming out to a 3-1 first period lead, the Vancouver Canucks failed to close things out as they fell 4-3 in overtime to the Seattle Kraken at Rogers Arena.

Thanks Carol!

Seems like Hughes might have had his cup of coffee on the RHS, back to the left he goes

They missed Myers like someone misses hemorrhoids. It's an uncomfortably that, unfortunately, you just have to live with... at least until the TDL. Then you can have surgery.

Thanks Carol, I tried watching part of the 2nd period but it was unwatchable so I turned on Spotify and cleaned my oven.

Might need a slightly bigger sample than one preseason game, maybe I was watching a different game but the 3rd period collapse was hardly on him.

Cheers Carol!

That first Kuzmenko goal was certainly a good shot, but that was all Hughes drawing in 4 defenders and leaving that side of the ice wide open, what patience!

There were a few times though where (when on the right side) Huggy had trouble taking the cross ice pass from OEL, having to switch over to the backhand.

I thought Rathbone and Burroughs were decent. I’m sure they’ll sigh DannyD as depth, but I don’t think he’s in the top 6. Wouldn’t mind seeing that kid from the last game in Van get another look, Kalynuk or whatever his name was.

Yeah, the first was pretty entertaining, then it was like paint drying.

What happened? We don’t get pre-season hockey in the USA 🇺🇸 😎

I did see a highlight where Petey schooled some kid who wanted to go first overall with a “how’s she goin” at the blue-line.

Coach Bruce has his work cut out for him. The vets don’t look engaged and the rust is an excuse.

But it’s pre-season so this where you work out what works and what doesn’t. The D pairs and lines are not in sync. Injuries, the other great excuse, have to be overcome.

There is probably good reason for that.

Apparently that budget $69.99 NHL center ice package isn’t that good a deal.

I didn’t really notice him, but sounds like Linus Karlsson has Markus Granlund type upside.

Hearing possible trade with Philadelphia from agent in the east, along the lines of Horvat & Poolman for Ristolainen & Laughton. Must have picks involved or other prospects being exchanged.

This source was right on Marino not coming to Vancouver but going to New Jersey a week before that occurred.

I hope he's wrong I'd rather Boeser be leaving. We'll see.

Looking at the Flyers D , and all of them are right shots

Site must be wrong, other site shows L/R mix, only way Horvat goes is if Provarov is in the deal

The Flyers are a tragic franchise, they’ve got a taller slimmer version of Jim Benning over there. Best to stay clear of that poop show
