You’ve gotta take care of your own end first and that’s what I thought Morgan Frost was trying to do or what they’re at least trying to teach him to do. Like, some of these guys on this board complaining that he didn’t stand out or he and Tippett should be a lot better then what they’ve shown, I would argue both did that in this one game. Having a good game doesn’t always mean an abundance of points. You gotta do the small things right before the big things. I thought Frost was fine tonight, the same way I thought Tippett, Allison, Cates and Foerster were all fine. Foerster sure as heck looked better in this one game than any pre season game 1 year ago. My only real complaint was the first period but mercifully we had very solid goaltending.

Both goals by Minnesota guys. Get Brink healthy. Trade for K’Andre Miller, Mittelstadt, Wheeler, and Oettinger. Pick up the phone and coax Nisky out of retirement. More Minnesota. Come on Chuck!

He didn’t do that though, he’s just kind of out there doing nothing. The first period slide under the stick move almost cost them a goal as well, that’s not taking care of the puck. I thought that he looked a little stronger in board battles last night but it’s also a lot of scrubs out there. At the same time, it’s 1 game and a guy like Debrusk did not look good either but his lineup spot is set in stone. Lofty expectations for Frost, gonna need more than what he showed last night.

Tippet can't finish at all. Do not see that changing.

Enjoy Hodgson seeing how he has risen through the ranks. Will always root for him. Longshot NHL player.

Hopefully Attard becomes Smiths pet project.

Cates is an NHL player. Hopefully they d not screw him because of waivers.

Having Roussel and AA as assistants is funny to me. AA is close to lock to make it. Sitting at 49 contracts no room for both.

He was invisible. Cut the cord with him now and let others get the playing time.

That was my concern after watching him at the end of last season. The guy skates, has a good shot but just can't put it in the net. I hope he was just a bit snake bitten last year but I have my doubts.

Thanks! Not sure what the other guy was watching? That turnover in the neutral zone would have probably been a goal the other way with more talent on the ice for the B's. As I said before, that was the Bruin's C team out there and he still was mostly invisible. Color me mostly unimpressed since day 1 with this kid.

AA making the team is a big, big problem. It is Brassard all over again. All it did was block better, younger players. This and the ND signing shows they do not learn from their mistakes

Really hoping this is not the case. Most folks rarely mention Willman and I’ll bet he makes this team. Fourth line, north south game, fast, can score. He brings more than the other guys always mentioned.

I was watching a young player being coached. Have we ever seen Morgan Frost play in defensive situations? No. Was he being put in defensive situations. Yes. I said Frost was “just fine” and he was.

I guess your expectations of him are rather muted. I expect him to be a major factor on the offensive end when he is playing against the other team's scrubs. I'm not going to dwell on it that much cause it's only one preseason game, but if he is ever going to be a top 6 forward in the NHL he needs to be better than last night against a bunch of scrubs. We just have differing opinions on him. I don't think he'll ever be a top 6 forward in the NHL and I hope I'm proven wrong (although that doesn't seem to happen very often).

Well first I don’t think you know what the definition of “muted” is. Second, The other team saw plenty of power plays including a 5 on 3, what did they do with that time? It was a 2-1 game, where our power play was actually a bright spot most of the time they were on the ice.

Frost played on the PK for Lappy in the AHL. Rather see him then the other guys who have not got the job done.

That is not something that can be taught imo. I have severe doubts about him in that area.

I don't use words that I don't understand the meaning of so yes I know what the word means. In the context I used it in it means diminished or lessened, or is that too complicated for you? Again, the Bruins were playing their scrubs, so who really cares. I want to to see a guy like Frost stand out in these situations. I liked #52, #49 and I think #62 showed promise. #48? Meh...

I would have no issue him on the 4th line over the out of date 4th line approach they are likely to take

So I’m suppose to have a Peter Forsberg expectation of Morgan Frost in game 1 of the pre season as the teams and players get their legs under themselves and get their timing back? They were only allowed to touch the pucks again on Friday…

That's why I also said I'm not dwelling on it much cause it's only one preseason game. I'm hoping to see more from him going forward, but I thought there were a few others (the numbers that I mentioned) that stood out more than he did. Not going to crucify the guy over one preseason game and I'm not expecting him to look like Peter Forsberg either. I just want to notice him when he's on the ice. He needs to be proactive and not reactive in my opinion.
