Kadri will not repeat this year and is 31 years old, stay away. And I would not give up Raty. Walmstrom, AB definatley.
I would trade Barzal for Tkachuk also! Never happen tho. Especially since Barzal is the reason no Barry!
Trade Bailey & Varly for cap space for FORSBERG.......................... |

Trading Varly would be an exceptionally bad idea unless you're getting back an established star player, which you probably won't for him.
Look no further than the Penguins and Canes having to throw their backup goaltenders out there in the playoffs for evidence of that |

Do all that and we'll have -$3M left to sign Salo, if we bought out Matt Martin. -$4M if we didn't buy him out. |

Where is that website located? That is pretty interesting on how you can figure future salaries. Also, thank you for the input. |

Kadri was the wild card in my proposal due to his age and the money he would command. I was thinking of moving Nelson to the No.1 spot, JGP to No.2 and Otto to No.3 as my second option.
As for Raty and Wahlstrom, I was not giving up both. it would have been one or the other. I felt Fiala is more developed and would replace Wally.
AB, I love him but he is so up and down. I want to move him before his loses value.
I do not want to move Varly unless I have too. Playoffs have shown why it is important to have too solid netminders.

I don’t know man breaking up that best fourth line in hockey is taking quite the risk on our season. |

CapFriendly, and those are obviously speculation...but won't be far off.
Fiala (RFA) was making $5.1M and was over a PPG this season (85 in 82gp)
Tkachuk (RFA) was making $7M this season and put up 104pts
Kadri (UFA) was making $4.5M this season and was well over a PPG (87 in 71gp)
They're all going to get raises. Maybe Kadri comes in closer to $7.5M/$8M but there's also a real chance Tkachuk gets more than $9M

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they bought out Martin. Saves them $1M this year and next and would cost them $500k the two subsequent years after that. I don't really see much of a point in having both of Martin and Johnston. |

No idea why Cal was re-signed? This 4th line will be around longer than Bert and Ernie.

Neither do I but Lameriello resigned Martin so I guess he does. |

Both Burt an Ernie probably would’ve been more effective then Matt Martin last season. |

Colorado was lucky that Edmonton missed the two point conversion after their TD last night. Otherwise, we would have had OT.
But seriously, if either of the Western Conference teams gives up 6 goals to the Bolts or even the Rangers, it'll be game over. I will be rooting for the winner of the West, but I don't like their chances. Goaltending and defense are too important. |

So much for the Rangers having growing pains in the playoffs. Cannot believe they are in the Eastern finals.

They'll be in for a rude awakening when they go from facing 2nd/3rd string goalies to the best goalie on the planet and much stronger teams. Not to mention the best team they'll have played yet and one that has a (frank)-ton of playoff experience |

No question this series is a huge challenge. I still give the Rangers a lot of credit. They played aggressive and did not sit back and they trusted their goalie. Sorkin is going to have to do the same for the Isles next year. Isles do need one or two skilled and fast young players though.

No doubt these guys will get paid. maybe they can grab two of the three. I would vote for Fiala and Tkachuk. |
